Authentic rajma, chole and bean curry recipes all start with one pantry essential 🫘✨

BBQ season is here, and your side dishes deserve just as much flavour as the mains 🔥🥔

These Bombay Roast Potatoes are the perfect mix of crispy, fluffy and tangy, bringing a delicious Indian-inspired twist to a classic BBQ favourite.

Made with TRS pantry essentials, they deliver authentic flavour in every bite. From earthy turmeric to rich tamarind and golden semolina crunch.

📌1kg floury potatoes (peeled, 5cm chunks)
📌2 tsp TRS Ground Turmeric (Haldi)
📌3 tbsp salt
📌150g ghee
📌2 tbsp plain flour
📌2 tbsp TRS Semolina (Fine or Coarse)
📌1 tsp baking powder
📌3 onions, quartered
📌1 garlic bulb, cloves peeled
📌pinch salt
📌260g TRS Tamarind Sauce
📌large handful fresh coriander

Method

1️⃣Boil potatoes in water with TRS turmeric and salt for 2 minutes, then drain.
2️⃣Heat ghee in a roasting tray in the oven.
3️⃣Toss potatoes with flour, TRS semolina and baking powder until coated.
4️⃣Add to hot ghee with onions and garlic, season and roast for 50 minutes, turning halfway.
5️⃣Drizzle with TRS tamarind sauce for the last 10 minutes.
6️⃣Finish with fresh coriander and serve.

Aloo Paratha made the traditional way with soft wholemeal dough and a spiced potato filling, cooked on a hot tawa 🫓✨ A comforting staple from Indian kitchens.

Ingredients

📌Stuffing
📌3 medium potatoes
📌1 tsp salt
📌1 to 2 green chillies
📌½ tsp TRS carom seeds
📌1 tsp TRS garam masala
📌1cm ginger, grated
📌Fresh coriander leaves
📌1 tsp TRS dried fenugreek leaves

Dough
📌500g atta wholemeal flour
📌Water
📌Butter or ghee

Method
1️⃣Boil potatoes until soft, then peel, grate and mix with spices and herbs.
2️⃣Prepare dough and divide into portions.
3️⃣Fill rolled dough with potato stuffing, seal and gently roll out again.
4️⃣Cook on a hot tawa until golden brown, brushing with butter or ghee as it cooks.
5️⃣Serve hot with butter, mango pickle and chai.

Grilled tandoori fish tacos made with bold spices, fresh mango salsa and a cooling yogurt sauce 🌮✨ A vibrant easy fusion recipe that provides smoky tandoori flavour and fresh street-style ingredients.

Ingredients

Fish marinade
1 lb halibut fish fillets, cut into strips
1 tbsp TRS Tandoori Masala (or garam masala)
1/2 tsp TRS ground cumin
1/2 tsp TRS ground coriander
1 tsp TRS Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp TRS kasuri methi
Salt and black pepper
Oil

Mango jalapeño salsa
Mango, red onion, jalapeño, lime juice, salt

Cilantro lime yogurt sauce
Greek yogurt, coriander, lime, salt, water

Tortillas and toppings
Corn or flour tortillas, jalapeños, pickled onions, slaw, lettuce or avocado

Method
Marinate fish with TRS spices, salt, pepper and oil.
Prepare mango salsa and yogurt sauce separately.
Grill fish on a hot pan until lightly charred and cooked through.
Warm tortillas and assemble with fish, salsa and yogurt sauce. Add toppings of choice and serve immediately.

Chicken Momos made at home with fresh spices, soft handmade wrappers and a rich tomato chilli achaar 🥟✨ A traditional Himalayan dish full of warmth and flavour.

Ingredients

Momo filling
500g minced chicken (or meat free alternative)
4 to 5 spring onions
1 to 2 green chillies
4 cloves garlic (TRS)
5cm ginger (TRS)
1 tsp coriander seeds crushed (TRS)
1 tsp turmeric powder (TRS)
1 tsp cumin seeds crushed (TRS)
1 to 2 tbsp oil
Salt or soy sauce
Fresh coriander leaves

Momo wrappers
Plain flour
Salt
Water

Momo achaar
Tomatoes
4 to 5 dried Kashmiri chillies (TRS)
4 cloves garlic (TRS)
7cm ginger (TRS)
Sugar
Vinegar
Salt
Soy sauce

Method
Sauté onion, garlic, ginger and green chilli, then combine with minced chicken and spices to make a flavourful filling.

Prepare a simple dough using flour, salt and water, then roll into thin wrappers.

Fill, pleat and steam the momos for 20 to 25 minutes until fully cooked.

For the achaar, cook tomatoes, dried chillies, garlic and ginger, then blend with seasoning until smooth.

Serve hot with spicy achaar for dipping.

Pistachio Chicken made with rich spices, creamy yoghurt and a smooth pistachio base 🍲✨ A comforting dish full of depth and traditional flavour.

Ingredients
600g chicken thighs, cut into chunks
100g pistachios blanched (TRS)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
7cm ginger piece, chopped
2 to 3 green chillies
6 garlic cloves
½ bunch fresh coriander
200g yoghurt
½ tsp turmeric powder (TRS)
Salt to taste
2 tbsp ghee
2 cloves (TRS)
15 black peppercorns (TRS)
4 green cardamoms cracked (TRS)
1 bay leaf (TRS)
2 inch cassia bark (TRS)
1 tsp cumin seeds (TRS)
Fresh cream for garnish
Fresh coriander for garnish

Method
Blanch pistachios in boiling water for 5 minutes, then cool and remove skins.
Marinate chicken with yoghurt, turmeric and salt.
Heat ghee and sauté cloves, peppercorns, cardamom, bay leaf and cassia until fragrant. Add onion and cook until soft.
Add ginger, green chillies and garlic, then stir in pistachios and cook briefly.
Blend the mixture with coriander and water into a smooth paste.
In the same pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds, then return whole spices. Add chicken and sauté.
Pour in pistachio paste, cover and cook for around 25 minutes until fully cooked.
Finish with cream, fresh coriander and pistachio slivers.
