Decades Takeover 23 (SOLD OUT) & 24 Sept (LAST FEW TABLES REMAINING)

For those of you who managed to get a table, or for the ones wondering what’s in store here’s a small taste of what you lot have got to look forward to..

Decades are bringing their legendary Hot Potato Pie with them to Hackney. We’ve been obsessing over this one from afar for a long time - and now you can get the first taste of it in London.

They’ll also be serving the VCR, loaded with creamy vodka sauce and pepperoni; the Golden Green with ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, olives, kale and Parmigiano; and the Big Cheese with tomato, mozzarella, fontina, Parmigiano and oregano. A proper taste of Decades, with something for everyone.

Add an Adult Cherry Coke and a brown butter blondie and you’ve got the full Decades experience - without the flight to New York.

Banoffee Pie Soft Serve Sundae:
Our September special is a spectacular version of a British classic. We take our signature Fior Di Latte soft serve, drench it in house-made banana caramel and banana oil (made from the macerated banana skins). Top this with chocolate pie crumbs and a brûléed banana half. Finished with squirty cream obviously (a banoffee non-negotiable). It slaps.

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD DECADES x ACE PIZZA

We’re super excited to announce a one-night-only takeover with Decades Pizza. They’re flying in from Ridgewood, Queens, taking over our kitchen for the evening and bringing some of their most loved dishes to Victoria Park.

Decades is the project of Zach Hughes and Paul Cacici, two pizza obsessives who met working at Ops in Bushwick. Their pies and cocktails, much like our own, are equal-parts classic NY and Italian influence. Along with our shared love of all things 80’s - this collab was a no-brainer.

Tables for this one-off collab are VERY limited, so we recommend you act fast!!

ACE classics and cocktails will also be on offer, alongside exclusive collab merch you won’t want to miss.

We’ll admit it, we like to keep things cheesy at ACE (and we’re not just talking about the pizza).

The Parm-tini.
Parmesan-infused 58 & Co vodka, dry vermouth, olive oil and a Sicilian olive.
You have to trust us on this one. The parmesan doesn’t make it cheesy. It brings salinity, savoury depth and just a hint of funk. Served ice cold, it’s clean, silky and unexpectedly refreshing.

The Carbonara Suppli
Crunchy, golden, crispy on the outside, a serious cheese pull on the inside, with guanciale and black pepper cutting through the rich carbonara filling. Topped with a mound of Grana Padano, one order of these bad boys for the table simply won’t cut it.

We don’t know about you, but this never-ending heatwave has us craving cold, crunchy things.

Enter: THE WEDGE 🥬

A little context for the uninitiated. The wedge salad is an American steakhouse classic: a gloriously unapologetic slab of iceberg lettuce drenched in ranch dressing (or blue cheese, if you’re into that sort of thing), usually topped with bacon. It had its heyday in the ‘60s, fell out of fashion, and has spent the last decade quietly making a comeback.

It’s not really a salad in the virtuous sense. It’s more of a vehicle for creamy dressing, crispy bits and an unreasonable amount of cheese. What’s not to love?

Our version has been on the menu for a couple of weeks now: crisp iceberg, House Ranch, crispy pancetta, pizza crumb pangrattato, chives and a mountain of Grana Padano.

It’s rapidly becoming our favourite non-pizza item on the menu... partly because it’s delicious, but mostly because we get to hear people say, “Can we get... the Wedge?”

Ending July on a massive high 🎉

After a month of birthday pizzas, collaborations, events and organised chaos, we finally got the chance to celebrate with the team last week.

ACE only exists because of the people behind it. Some of the faces you’ll recognise, plenty you won’t, but every single one of them works ridiculously hard to make it what it is. They’ve grafted all year and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

We’ve already got plenty planned for year two, but before we disappear into planning mode we just wanted to say a massive thank you. Every booking, takeaway, recommendation, review and return visit genuinely means the world to us. The fact that so many of you have made us part of your routine is something we definitely don’t take for granted.

Here’s to year two!

The NY Deli Pie lives on!

You all loved it so much we felt it only fair to bring our collab pie with over to our OG spot in Hackney Downs the Pembury Tavern

Running as 12 inch special for the whole of August, imagine the pizza-based lovechild of a pastrami sandwich and a cream cheese everything bagel and you have this (even if we do say so ourselves) pretty incredible pie. Veggie version available with our house-made seitan pastrami too.

Provolone, Fior di Latte, Shaved Pastrami, Dill Pickles, Jalapeño Cream Cheese, American Mustard, all the Papo’s Everything Seasoning.

For anyone who’s visited us at VP for our birthday this July, you may have noticed a little illustration tucked in alongside your bill.

Handdrawn and hand-delivered with love, this one’s extra special.

It was created by our very own Nicole Nicole Solana (our former Assistant Manager) as a parting gift before she heads back to the land of maple syrup. 🍁

We love any excuse to support a local artist, and it felt really special that Nicole agreed to do this for us our birthday. She was so integral to our first year here. For the month of July, you can grab one of these postcard illustrations in the restaurant as a little memento, and as a thank you you to all our neighbours and regulars who keep coming back.

We’ve even turned it into our new colouring sheet for the kids to add their own spin. Who says you need to stay inside the lines?

It’s a funny old industry, hospitality.

The highs are incredible, the lows can be exhausting, and the people who help you through those moments leave a lasting mark.

This weekend we’re saying goodbye to our General Manager, Lily.

She joined us at one of the most intense periods imaginable, helping steer ACE through launch, finding her feet while we were all finding ours. Opening a restaurant is chaotic at the best of times, but somehow she kept showing up every day with endless positivity, resilience and an unwavering commitment to the team and our guests.

Over the past year she’s played a huge part in helping shape what ACE Victoria Park has become. Like any new business, we’ve had challenges, long days and plenty of lessons, but we’ve also shared some brilliant memories and celebrated some incredible milestones together.

As is so often the way in hospitality, the time has come for Lily to move on to new projects and new opportunities. We’re genuinely excited for whatever comes next and know she’ll be a huge asset wherever she lands.

Thank you for everything you’ve given to ACE, for getting us through one hell of a first year, and for caring about this place as much as you did. You’ll always have a pizza waiting for you!
