A hot London weekend calls for proper white wine, not something forgettable from the fridge door.

We’ve been pairing Viña Gravonia from López de Heredia with this indulgent Lemon Sole recipe from Olia Hercules: bold, textured Rioja Blanco that’s basically catnip for wine geeks, with enough weight, wax and savoury bite to get properly stuck into the dish.

Recipe on our website and via the link in bio.

Some merchants make you jump through hoops for bottles like this.

Not us.

No allocations. No tied purchasing. No quiet back-room list. Just 12 bottles of each, online now, first come first served.

If you don’t already know Jean-Baptiste Semmartin of Domaine Lajibe, he’s a former French fencing champion turned winemaker in Jurançon, South-West France.

Trained in Bordeaux and Burgundy, but it’s mostly Jura’s influence we see in his wines.
JBS works with careful deliberate oxidation with zero fining, filtration or even sulphites. The results? Crazy intensity. Rich and heady with the aromatics of Petit and Gros Manseng as precise as the épée he put down all those years ago...

12 bottles each of:
Mansengs 2023: £43. Grapefruit, white peach, sour pineapple. Juicy and tense with a long, mouthwatering finish.

‘Serres-Seques’ Jurançon Sec 2023: £69.50. This fruit was destined to become sweet Jurançon, JBS altered its course with this vintage. Pink grapefruit, tart white peach, sesame, salty minerality.

Blatant flattery aside, if you’re here, you’re the type of wine buyer who wants something different and undeniably delicious.
And just as blatant is the timing of this post, so close to payday and all! The Sourcing Table Founder Will just sent our mailing list a message with his top payday picks.

Top of the list: The Orange Point from Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa (£21.10)

“The spectrum of orange wines is wild, from austere to Sunny D juicy. This Greek guy has decorum. Being orange isn’t its focus, it’s just a seriously good bottle for the money.
High-altitude Assyrtiko and Roditis give it serious freshness and great complexity. Think ripe white peach, blood-orange peel, and salty sea breeze. It smacks you with a persistent finish, enough to make you double-check what you paid for it. (Jancis Robinson gave it a whopping 17, too).”

Fancy a bottle, or want in on the list for his next insights? Link in bio.

Alkemi 2024 is here and it’s Markos’s best yet.

“Such personality. This is the right moment to drink this bargain.”

Markos was the first producer to practice organically in Naoussa, the first PDO of Greece. This vintage he got a new press and it shows. Bold, juicy and slightly herbal with a savoury stamp of tomato leaf and oregano from the Xinomavro.
With a tickle of grip and mouthwatering acidity, unlike any rosé you’ve tasted before.
We could pair it with dishes from Caesar salad to sirloin steak and none would be wrong, but equally, a chilled glass of Alkemi is perfect all by itself.

£23 a bottle. Use code ALKEMI2024 on a case of 6 and it drops to £20.24 with free delivery. Only until Thursday 4th June.

Fill your fridge, grab a bottle opener, link in bio. Cheers.

Three wines from Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat, one of Burgundy’s most coveted estates, and we’ve managed to get them by the bottle.

The 2023 vintage was warm, yields were low, and the fruit is all the better for it: concentrated, fresh, and with that signature Chambolle-Musigny precision.

From the over-delivering Bourgogne Rouge, to the village Chambolle-Musigny, to the Premier Cru ‘Les Suchots’. All drinking beautifully now. Age-worthy without question.

Not that ratings should be the only reason to buy a bottle, but Jasper Morris gave it five stars and we wholeheartedly agree.

We tasted the new vintage of Faraone’s Trebbiano d’Abruzzo ‘Le Vigne’ this week.

This is Emidio Pepe for Wednesdays. Same waxiness, rich citrus zest and hay. Smells like armfuls of fresh flowers. The only thing it doesn’t have? The hefty price tag.

We paired it with a big bowl of creamy broccoli and anchovy pasta from and, frankly, rainy Wednesday didn’t stand a chance.

We strongly encourage you to follow suit.

Faraone, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo ‘Le Vigne’ 2023. £20 a bottle. Link in bio.

Introducing: Seckinger

Looking for German wine beyond the classic polished Riesling stereotype? Seckinger is a damn good place to start. Textured & energetic, farmed organically with minimal intervention. We adore these wines, and know you will too.

“Our goal every year is to bottle this terroir without altering it”

Representing Pfalz in the global wine market, are pushing boundaries. This is a winery built on family: 3 brothers and a support team of people who have been with them since childhood.

Great attention to detail goes into expressing their unique terroir. Texture and structure are chosen over fruit; harvests are guided by physical results rather than analytical targets. Plenty of time in neutral oak is also a non-negotiable, adding texture without adding flavour. The results? Precise and exciting wines from a dynamic bunch of young winemakers.

Buy now before they get the mainstream attention they deserve.
