Chapter 4 🍷 | Château Grand-Puy Ducasse
Our final day in Bordeaux was spent at the prestigious Château Grand-Puy Ducasse, where we had the privilege of being welcomed by their sommelier team. It was an incredible opportunity to deepen our understanding of the estate’s unique terroir, w**emaking philosophy, and the character that defines their w**es.
From exploring the vineyards to tasting a range of exceptional w**es, every moment was a valuable learning experience. We were also fortunate to meet the w**e producers, their dedicated team, and the owner, gaining first-hand insight into the passion, craftsmanship, and heritage behind each bottle.

Chapter 3 – Day 3
On Day 3, we visited the beautiful Château Ormes de Pez - Saint-Estèphe vineyard, where we were welcomed with a delightful drinks reception featuring Pol Roger Ch*****ne and an elegant selection of canapés.
The evening continued with an exceptional dinner accompanied by an amazing w**e tasting experience. Throughout the meal, we enjoyed a remarkable selection of w**es, including some rare and beautifully aged vintages that came as a wonderful surprise. It was a truly memorable experience and a highlight of the trip.
At the end of the evening, we stayed at the hotel on the estate before travelling onwards to our hotel in Bordeaux. It was an incredible day filled with outstanding hospitality, unforgettable w**es, and wonderful memories.

Today we’re visiting Château Mouline with our team of 11. Looking forward to meeting the w**e producer, learning more about their w**emaking philosophy, and tasting their w**es straight from the source.

Walking through the vineyards of Château Mouline and witnessing firsthand where great w**es begin. The vines are carrying fruit that has benefited from a season of sunshine, cool nights, and the unique Médoc terroir, creating the conditions for concentration, balance, and character in the grapes.

Still on day 2 of the Haut-Médoc tasting trip, and today I had the wonderful opportunity to taste w**es from Château Escot. It was especially exciting to learn about the estate’s recent history. Located near Lesparre-Médoc, Château Escot is a charming Cru Bourgeois property that has been revitalized since Czech owners Richard Morávek and Vít Bartošek purchased it in 2019.   The new owners have poured their passion into both the vineyard and the cellar, working to enhance quality while keeping the unique character of the Médoc terroir intact. The estate benefits from the classic Left Bank combination of Atlantic influence and gravelly soils, which are so perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The w**es are beautifully elegant and structured, showcasing the traditional Médoc profile of black fruit, cedar, spice, and lively acidity, all with the refined touch of modern w**emaking. The château itself is undergoing extensive renovations, with the exciting goal of becoming a top w**e tourism destination in the region.  It’s truly inspiring to see how international owners can bring fresh energy to a historic Bordeaux estate while honoring its rich heritage. I had a very enjoyable tasting—another wonderful discovery in the Médoc! 🍷

Day 2 of our Bordeaux journey and another memorable stop in the heart of the Haut-Médoc at the beautiful Château Cantenac Brown. 🍷🍇
Today was all about discovering another exceptional vineyard, learning more about the passion, history, and dedication that go into producing some of the region’s finest w**es. Walking through the vineyards, exploring the cellar, and tasting the w**es gave us an even deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every bottle.
What makes experiences like this even more special is sharing them with an amazing team. All 11 of us had the opportunity to enjoy not only the outstanding hospitality and w**es but also the chance to learn, exchange ideas, and create great memories together.
Every château we visit tells a unique story, and Château Cantenac Brown certainly did not disappoint. From the stunning surroundings to the exceptional w**es, it was another highlight of an incredible trip through the Haut-Médoc. Looking forward to seeing what the next stop has in store for us, but for now, we’re simply appreciating another fantastic day filled with w**e, knowledge, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.

Day 1 ✈️🍷
Travelled from London to Bordeaux with British Airways, ready to begin an exciting Médoc w**e adventure. After arriving, we checked in at the Cabot Bordeaux Golf Club Hotel, where we’ll be staying during the trip.
