Looking back at a year of phenomenal travel and wine experiences together with a big birthday celebration with the loveliest of people. Becoming Chair of the has been a great honour and I look forward to what next year has to bring with our great team. Happy International Tokaj Aszú Day! Enjoyed a very delicious evening exploring many of the gems of Tokaj at the very appropriately named Noble Rot Soho. A wonderful evening hosted by and Pairing dry Furmint through to the lusciously sweet Essenzia in the company of some great wine writers, content creators and educators. There is no better time to explore these versatile Hungarian wines over Christmas and of course beyond. And as the Hungarians say Egészségére!

Recently wrapped up a focused Marsala tasting for the WSET here in London. We explored the full spectrum from Oro to Vergine, comparing levels of sweetness, ageing styles, and the impact of different maturations. A great reminder of how complex and characterful this Sicilian fortified wine can be. Through 8 samples it was clear this oft maligned fortified has more to offer than a slug in your tiramisu. Quality and longevity shone through on this competitively priced fortified. Thanks to

Celebrating my milestone Birthday at The Savoy’s beautiful Wine Room with four gorgeous girls and their partners was unforgettable. Thank you all for the love, laughter and magical food and wjne. Six days and nights in paradise celebrating a very special birthday. Our hosts were beyond welcoming and gracious and I managed to have a good crack at a large chunk of the cocktail 🍹 list 💖Personal favourites were of course the classic piña coladas, followed closely by the old Moscow Mule( more on the wines in a separate post). But for once the cocktails stole my heart as did the island and the incredible team there who made a special trip truly out of this world…Plus those gentle giants the manta rays took the trip to a whole new level. A very lucky lady indeed thank you

In Tokaj hosted by .of.hungary I walked sunlit vineyards spanning over 5000 ha, where Furmint and Hárslevelű thrive on volcanic soils. At Oremus—an iconic estate owned by Vega Sicilia—I descended into historic cellars lined with hundreds of golden bottles resting in hushed rows. Tasting ranged from bone-dry Furmint to lusciously sweet 5 Puttonyos Aszú, each sip rich in citrus, apricot, and minerality. The visit captured Tokaj’s soul: timeless, expressive, and deeply rooted in tradition.

Representing Prosecco Superiore at SITT Tasting London was a fantastic experience. As a brand ambassador supporting the event, I was proud to share the elegance and complexity of the wines with an engaged trade audience. Attendees responded enthusiastically to the freshness, quality, and versatility of Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG. It was a pleasure to work alongside such passionate professionals and to help deepen appreciation for the region’s heritage. A truly rewarding and inspiring day!

A wonderful immersion into Hungarian wines thanks to .of.hungary at their incredible Wine Summit Bor2025! (Hungarian for wine) More than a 150 guests descended into regal Budapest from all over the world. Masterclasses on sparkling, volcanic, red and sweet wines with industry leaders has provoked debate and benchmarked quality across the board. Tomorrow will see a deep dive into the regions of Tokaj and Eger.

An incredible morning spent at the heart of the Pompeii archeological park exploring the small tucked away vineyards growing in the centre of the ancient Roman “Las Vegas” of antiquity. Guided by Viviana and both heroes we learnt first hand the exciting project underway to restore and learn more about vine growth in antiquity in partnership with excited to learn more about the project 🍷

A throwback to earlier this summer when we had the absolute pleasure of visiting at her fabulous vineyard and winery in Fronsac Château George 7 in Fronsac presents a compelling fusion of modern winemaking and deep-rooted terroir. The estate champions sustainability, elegance, and precision. Merlot based reds alognside Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon in the whites both demonstrate freshness and finesse. A visit reveals innovation, hospitality, and a clear sense of place—Fronsac’s potential realised through dedication, vision, and impeccable ex*****on.
