I write this post with tears in my eyes!

Today was a very bittersweet day as we celebrated Krystyna Łobocka retirement after almost 22 years exceptional service to us, our families and friends.

She may have started as our cleaner, but she quickly became so much more than that. She became family; a mother figure to all of us. She didn’t just look after our home; she looked after us, with a level of care, kindness and love that is incredibly rare.

There is simply no one quite like Krystyna.

We surprised her with a retirement party at Megan’s, and seeing how shocked and touched she was made the day even more special. While we are all grieving the end of this chapter, today was about celebrating an extraordinary woman who has played such an important role in our lives.

Thank you, Krystyna. You will always be part of our family. ❤️

Exciting news…I’m a bit of an old soul — someone who believes in fate and destiny, and that we still get to choose the path we walk in life. Both can be true. We can choose to engage with people and communities that inspire us, and grow together along the way.

That’s why I feel incredibly privileged to be working as part of the marketing team at Family Volunteering Club — a truly groundbreaking charity with an inspiring team.

Today marked a special moment for the charity, as our passionate CEO, Maddy Mills, met with Stephanie Peacock, Minister for Sport, Tourism, Civil Society and Youth, to champion the power of family volunteering and its impact on communities across the UK 🤝

Grateful to be on this journey and excited for what’s ahead 💛

WOW, what a spectacular Christmas celebration with our brilliant partners, the one and only Mishcon de Reya!

Our partners Mishcon de Reya are renowned, respected and at the forefront of the legal profession.

It was truly wonderful meeting all the lovely lawyers, staff and their families, enjoying everyone in a more fun and relaxed setting inside their beautiful central London office. And they pulled out all the stops, just look at that spread!

A day filled with festive spirit, great energy and a celebration to remember. 🎄✨

🌿💦 Chasing Waterfalls in Minca National Park With My Besties 💦🌿

With Ayla and Cliff, we wandered down a rocky, rugged jungle trail - slipping, laughing, and soaking in the wild beauty of Minca. The air smelled like earth and rain, and every corner felt like the start of a new adventure.

Then we reached the waterfall.
We dipped a toe - freezing.
Looked at each other - no turning back. 😂❄️
One jump later and we were screaming, laughing, and fully alive.

Sometimes the best memories come from the moments you almost hesitate… and do it anyway.

This is a salad recipe I’ve created for the Tuesday Refugee Hub for Families with Young Children, I’ve been working on with Lambeth BetterStart for years.

Rima’s Oriental Slaw:

Made with sliced white and red cabbage, red onions, spring onions, and fresh coriander.

Delicious dressing:
Orange juice, lime juice, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, sriracha, garlic granules, and light soy sauce.
No salt added - it doesn’t need it!
I didn’t measure the quantities - just eyeballed, balanced, and tasted until it was right!

Health benefits:
Rich in vitamins, fibre, and antioxidants - helps support digestion, boost immunity, reduce inflammation, and promote heart health.

I’ve massaged the dressing into the slaw to marinate overnight, it will taste even better tomorrow! 🥗💚 But will taste great even if you serve on the same day!
