Cameler Spice Co

Cameler Spice Co 100% Natural artisan blends that are milled and blended in-house. Travel-inspired alchemy. We are an award-winning spice blend company. Why?

(Quality Food Awards 2021 and Great Taste Awards 2022) We source the finest ingredients, milling and blending the freshest ingredients in-house. We package our spice mixes in dark brown glass jars under an aluminium closure. Traditionally apothecaries and chemists use to distribute spices in brown glass jars. In equal measure, we are giving a nod to traditional heritage, but also we are protecting

the precious spices and botanicals for longer. In a world where climate change and carbon footprint are trending topics, we feel passionate about utilizing spices in a more resourceful matter, rather than them sitting in the cupboard spice graveyard. Fundamentally we are here to bring great taste, alchemy, historical references and well-being to the kitchen table.

We didn’t build Camelēr chasing awards. We built it because we believed the ingredients in your kitchen deserved a better story.

Finding out our Sofrito has been shortlisted in the Store Cupboard Essentials category at the 2026 means someone else (and an entire panel) sees what we see in it.

Sofrito is a 14th century Catalonian aromatic base. The start of a thousand dishes. We’re quietly thrilled it’s in this conversation.

We’re not saying it’s the Mitmita. But it’s the Mitmita🐫✨

Eid Maulud reminds us that the things worth holding onto were worth passing down. And how much that shapes everything we carry forward.

Wishing everyone celebrating a blessed and beautiful day.

Advieh Halegh was built for Persian celebration dishes. Rose petals, cardamom, cinnamon, a little ginger. Something ceremonial about it.

Then it ended up on oat pancakes with strawberries and maple syrup at 8am on a Friday.

The cardamom lifts the oat. The cinnamon deepens the maple. The rose petals do something to the strawberries that is very hard to explain.

Some blends just refuse to stay in one kitchen.

Advieh Halegh is blend No. 04. Link in bio.

One ingredient. An ancient process. And a depth of flavour that only exists because someone, somewhere, decided to leave a lime in the sun long enough to find out what happened.

You’d find this tart and earthy citrusy flavour in our Advieh-E Khoresh and Bahārāt Gulf of Arabia. And you’ll find these blends via the link in our bio🐫

We were at the Tullamore show with Offaly Tourism last Saturday, and oh was it spicy!🐫

It was incredible to have conversations about food and spice in-person with everyone who show up at our stall at the Experience Offaly Pavilion.

The curiosity on the heritage of our blends and the unexpected alchemy we’ve designed to elevate these blends, plus our jars finding new homes in anticipation of the meals they’re about to elevate is exactly why we show up✨🐫

Ibn Battuta’s Rihla is one of the most detailed accounts of the medieval spice world we have. He wasn’t cataloguing spices as a botanist or a merchant. He was writing about what it felt like to sit at a table on the other side of the world and recognise something.

That’s the lineage our blends come from. This felt like the right place to start.

Who should we feed next?

Spice, as we know it, was never meant to be a special occasion thing.
We built Camelēr for the people who reach for it without thinking. On the egg, in the pasta, or any meal whether there’s a plan or not.

Technically, salt is a mineral. It doesn’t come from a plant, it predates the entire spice trade, and yet it’s the first thing most of us reach for when food needs something.

Research has found salt activates the same reward pathways as sugar and ni****ne. The more you use, the more you need. The threshold shifts without you noticing.

When the spice is doing its job, salt becomes a choice rather than a reflex.

This is a thought we shared in journal. Have a read via link in bio🐫
