It’s Weaning Week! 🥣🍠🍌🥦

If you’re about to enter the wild world of weaning, swipe or see below for seven super helpful weaning tips from Lucy Upton, our amazing .

1️⃣ Get yourself ready too – It’s normal to feel nervous! A little prep (like first aid or freezer meals) goes a long way.

2️⃣ Look for signs your baby’s ready – Sitting up, good head control, hand-to-mouth action, and losing that tongue thrust reflex.

3️⃣ Variety > Volume – In the early days, it’s all about exploring different foods, not eating big portions.

4️⃣ Pick a good highchair – One with a footrest helps your baby feel stable and safe at mealtimes.

5️⃣ There’s no “right” method – Purees, finger foods, or both — do what works for you. The goal is confident, happy eating .

6️⃣ Let them get messy – It’s all part of learning! Save the cleanup for after.

7️⃣Avoid comparisons – Every baby learns at their own pace. You’re doing great!

Our Mini Banana Pancakes are BACK, and they’ve had a little upgrade. Same pancakes. Just boldly better 🥞

🍌 Banana is still the star ingredient (in fact, we’ve added even more!), giving that naturally sweet flavour in every bite.

🫘 We’ve now added cannellini beans to the mix - you won’t taste them, but they help make the texture smoother while bringing plant-based fibre and protein to the party.

💪🏼 There’s also a sprinkle of chia seeds added - another nutrient boost of omega 3s, fibre and protein.

Ever stand in the supermarket, staring at the shelves, wondering which children’s snacks are actually the best for your tot? We’ve been there too 😮‍💨

We’ve all had those evenings where it’s jacket potato, cheese and beans again… But before you feel guilty, know that this humble meal is actually ticking a LOT of nutritional boxes for your tot ✅

🥫 Half a can of baked beans can provide over 1/3 of a toddler’s iron needs, around half their daily fibre, plus protein and magnesium!

🧀 A small 20g portion of cheddar cheese adds calcium, protein, and vitamin B12.

🥔 A jacket potato provides Vitamin C, energy-giving carbohydrates, fibre when the skin is eaten and extra magnesium.

So, together you’ve got carbohydrates + protein + fats + fibre + key vitamins and minerals. That’s a balanced meal! So remember: A nourishing meal doesn’t have to be fancy, and you are likely doing a better job than you think 🧡
