We’ve been working behind the scenes on our “Shana Gives Back” initiative.

For the academic year Sept 2025 – July 2026, we have been proud to support the Akshaya Patra UK through their Empower Hour programme at a local school near our offices. Empower Hour is Akshaya Patra’s award-winning after-school programme, providing nutritious meals and targeted tuition to the UK’s most disadvantaged children. With around 1 in 4 children in the UK at risk of hunger, we felt strongly about getting involved and helping where we can.

A few weeks ago, we visited Mora Primary School in Brent to see the impact first-hand. It was powerful to witness how something as simple as a warm meal can make such a meaningful difference to children’s day.

We got to speak with their Assistant Headteacher Kate Bass, who said to us "Mora Primary is located in quite an area of deprivation. (Brent, West London). Around 4pm, the kids are all starving. They would usually go home and have cereal or biscuits. Here, they can have hot and nutritious food.”

We’re proud to be part of an initiative that supports children in our local communities and helps create real, positive change.
