August, what a month! This month we’ve welcomed some beautiful new produce into the warehouse, celebrated the incredible work of our growers and even found some very special new customers… our local cows! 🐄

But it hasn’t all been sunshine. This ongoing heatwave has left our soils dry, our crops thirsty and many of our farmers facing incredibly challenging conditions.

We’re all hoping for a change in the weather and, from what we can see, those rain dances might finally be working!

Here’s to a little more rain, healthier soil and an exciting Organic September ahead.

Our surplus fruit and veg has found some very happy new customers! 🐄🍉

We’re now supplying a farm near us with produce that doesn’t make it to the shops or our Felix Project collections, helping to make sure even more of our organic produce is put to good use.

And the cows seem to be absolutely loving it! Especially Roddy’s watermelon… but honestly, how could they not?

Forge Farm 🌽

Our beautiful Hopi Rainbow Sweetcorn comes from Forge Farm in Oxford, where the Klaes family have been farming organically since 1981, staying true to the ethics of organic farming in every aspect of life on the farm.

Greg and Kate bought Forge Farm together in 1981, when it was little more than a selection of derelict barns on a canal side parcel of land. Over the past 40 years, they have worked incredibly hard to develop the farm into what it is today.

Today, we were lucky enough to have Greg stop by himself to drop off another delivery of their incredible Hopi Rainbow Sweetcorn.

A true family farm, built with passion, hard work and a love for organic farming for more than four decades. And we think that shows in every colourful cob!

And another season comes to an end! Bedlam Farms Organic have officially completed their final rhubarb harvest of the year. We’re sad to see another UK classic come to an end, but we’re already excited to see what’s coming next!
