The Deptford Bus roars back to life with new owners who have refurbished this local icon. Join us for freshly made stone-baked pizzas, delicious summer cocktails, unique beers and first-class entertainment and events throughout the year! The vehicle is a restored Bristol VR double-decker bus that was retired in 2010. It’s now been lovingly converted into a pizza restaurant and is permanently parke
d in our beer garden home by the Creek on Deptford Church St. It’s a historic site that once was part of the Royal Docks and also home to Deptford Theatre in 1840. Updates in the space include adding a reimagined outdoor dining area, a secret garden at the back and a great selection of pizzas to choose from, from local pizza nerds The Yeast Brothers. There will also be cocktail offers, big screens to show the Euros (and Eurovision!) this summer, quiz nights and themed events, as well as live music and comedy nights. We have teamed up with The Yeast Brothers, whose mission is to produce and serve delicious artisanal pizza, following traditional techniques and focusing on local suppliers and the best British ingredients. Using a long fermentation (48hrs) dough, they create the best sourdough pizzas with an aired crust and a unique tomato sauce, tailor-made to go alongside a cold IPA or full-bodied red. The cocktail menu will showcase familiar classic turn-of-the-century cocktails with a modern spin and spirits made by small craft artisan distillers. Thanks to our removable roof we can make sure you have plenty of sun in the summer and lots of protection in the colder months. Designed by theatre-makers Disentangle Projects, our space offers themes of escapism, world travel and exciting experiences! Come aboard the enchanting Deptford Bus and listen to its travelling stories!
