As we start getting set for the year ahead and we have a lot of exciting plans, I wanted to start by sharing a new partnership that we’ll donating to and something I’ve being wanting to do for a long time.
which a charity close to my heart for a number of reasons.
My passion for food came from being a young boy, cooking with my grandmother - cakes, pasta dishes (a splash of red wine in spaghetti 🍝 as a 6 year old 🥹- wasn’t aware that it boiled out so I’d definitely acted a little tipsy and thought I was super cool..) and eating the sugary batter mix! When I was 13 she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and moved into our family home so we could help with her care. She sadly passed away 5 years later after her fight. It’s one of the cruelest deseases I’ve ever seen!
Growing up I played a huge amount of rugby and have friends that still do and with a growing number of former players being diagnosed and some at such a young age.
So our commitment is that we’ll donate a 25p per our special dish sold, alongside donations on the stand and other smaller campaigns throughout the year. Our small way to hopefully make a difference and build awareness to hopefully one day defeat this horrible disease!
