From Sardinia with Argiolas Winery
We’ve headed to the island with Argiolas Winery winery and their Vermentino di Sardegna DOC ‘Is Argiolas’ 2025.

Made from 100% Vermentino selected from some of the estate’s oldest vineyards, this is a fuller expressive take on one of Sardinia’s signature grapes. Lively, fresh, rich, balanced, delicate and fine - all in a glass.

Ripe peach and apricot, melon, almond and honeyed notes, balanced by the freshness and vibrancy that makes Vermentino such a brilliant summer wine.

*Available through Eurowines.

From the Treiso hills in Piedmont, Ca'del Baio has been a family affair for four generations, producing wines that perfectly express their corner of the Langhe.

Their Moscato d’Asti DOCG ‘101’ 2025 is made from Moscato grown in the Tre Stelle vineyards and is all we want to be drinking in a warm August.

Apricot, florals and fine bubbles, with a lovely freshness. Sweet, light on the palate, with good acidity and a long, fresh finish. At just 5% ABV, it’s light, aromatic and easy to enjoy.

*Available via Eurowines.

From the heart of Emilia-Romagna, Otello Ceci NerodiLambrusco 1813 is a deep and softly sparkling take on one of Italy’s most recognisable wines CECI 1938

Dark purple-red in the glass, it offers delicious notes of red berries, and ripe cherry with a subtle touch of musk. Medium-dry and full-bodied, yet wonderfully soft, with fine bubbles and a smooth, velvety finish.

The CECI 1938 story began in 1938, when Otello Ceci served his Lambrusco alongside traditional dishes at his busy trattoria near Parma. Today, the family continues that legacy, creating wines firmly rooted in the food and energy of the region.

Best served well chilled, preferably alongside seafood and tapas. Your weekend starts now.

Not all rosé is pale. Shock!

From the hills of Abruzzo Cantina Tollo Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOP ‘Colle Cavalieri’ is a richer, more characterful expression of Italian rosato, produced from Montepulciano grapes.

Vivid cherry pink in the glass, it has notes of ripe cherry and blackcurrant, lifted by delicate white flowers. Medium-bodied and beautifully smooth, with refreshing acidity and a soft, silky finish. Proof that sometimes, deeper is better.

Ciao Aagosto! A little Puglian sunshine for the first weekend of August.

First produced in 1943, Five Roses from Leone de Castris holds a special place in Italian wine history as the first rosato to be bottled and sold in Italy.

Made predominantly from Negroamaro, with Malvasia Nera, it is vibrant and refreshing with inviting notes of ripe cherry and strawberry, balanced by crisp acidity and a smooth, persistent finish.

A true Salento classic.

From Campania comes one of southern Italy’s most distinguished red wines. Luciano Ercolino’s Taurasi DOCG ‘Santandrea’ is produced from carefully selected Aglianico grapes, harvested late in the season to capture the variety’s depth, structure and distinctive character.

Rich and expressive, it offers layers of dark cherry, ripe plum and woodland fruit, complemented by notes of spice, to***co and gentle balsamic herbs. Structured tannins and refreshing acidity bring balance, leading to a long, warming finish.

Awarded 91 points by Falstaff, what better way to start the week?

From the rolling hills of Castelli di Jesi to the glass ... CasalFarneto is a family-owned winery in Le Marche, established in 1995 with a focus on showcasing Verdicchio, the region’s celebrated native white grape.

Their Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico ‘Solustro’ is fresh and fragrant, with notes of green apple, pear, lemon zest and white flowers, followed by subtle herbal and mineral nuances. Crisp, dry and beautifully balanced, it finishes with lively acidity, gentle salinity and Verdicchio’s characteristic hint of almond.

Best served chilled at 8–10°C and paired with seafood, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, fresh cheeses and antipasti. A refreshing taste of Le Marche, perfect for summery warm days and evenings.

Saturday plans?
We’re still cheering on the three lions tonight and we are also making sure that there's a glass of Kellerei St. Michael Eppan - Cantina Produttori San Michele Appiano Passito 'Comtess' to finish our evening on a winning note.

A beautifully made dessert wine made primarily from Gewürztraminer grapes left to naturally dry before vinification, concentrating their sugars and aromatic intensity.

The result?
A Passito with layers of ripe apricot, exotic fruit and honey, wrapped in a silky, creamy texture and balanced by vibrant freshness that lingers with each sip.

Sunday strolling around Carlo Deltetto

A family-owned winery in the heart of Canale, in Piedmont's beautiful Roero region, where the Deltetto family have been tending their vineyards since the late 1800s.

Officially founded in 1953 by Carlo "Carlin" Deltetto, the estate is now in the hands of the third generation. Guided by a deep respect for the land, they champion sustainable viticulture, preserve Piedmont's indigenous grape varieties and make wines that reflect the sandy, fossil-rich soils unique to Roero.
