This week, we launched the next chapter of ZENO: VIRTUES.

A Bush Vine, Barrel Aged Tempranillo 2023, created from the finest fruit grown on our single organic estate in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.

Rich, textured and made for the table - think concentrated black fruit, plum and sour cherry, polished tannins, subtle toasted oak and layers of clove, espresso and dark chocolate.

VIRTUES represents everything we’ve been working towards: proving that alcohol-free w**e can have provenance, structure, complexity and a genuine place in the world of fine w**e.

There have been obstacles. There will probably be more.

But the pitch was never the destination.

We’re just getting started.

Introducing VIRTUES. 🍷

Yesterday at Parched, we unveiled the next chapter of ZENO.

A bush-vine, barrel-aged Tempranillo, created for those moments when you want a proper red w**e experience at the table - just without the alcohol.

Rich, textured and complex, with concentrated black fruit, plum and sour cherry, polished tannins, subtle toasted oak and notes of clove, espresso and dark chocolate.

Made from fruit grown on our single organic estate in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, before the alcohol is gently liberated using low-temperature, high-vacuum distillation.

For us, VIRTUES represents something really exciting: pushing alcohol-liberated red w**e further towards the depth, structure and sophistication we expect from great w**e.

And there felt like nowhere better to launch it than Parched - surrounded by some of the people pushing the alcohol-free drinks category forward.

But the category has moved on - and expectations have too.

Creating ZENO took three years of technical development: understanding dealcoholisation at a molecular level and finding a way to preserve what makes w**e genuinely enjoyable. It starts with single-estate organic grapes and the same attention to provenance, flavour, food pairing and occasion that you would expect from any great w**e.

Alcohol-free w**e doesn’t begin when you remove the alcohol. It begins here! 🍇

The 2026 harvest is now underway across Castilla-La Mancha - and we’ve found a rather good vantage point from the top of the harvester…

At our single organic estate, every decision is made with the final glass in mind: the grape varieties we grow, the parcels we select, the exact moment we pick and even the time of day we harvest.

Earlier-picked grapes bring freshness and acidity. Slightly riper fruit adds texture and body. Harvesting at night helps protect the grapes’ delicate aromas and freshness.

Those grapes are then made into real w**e before the alcohol is gently liberated at a low temperature, with aroma, flavour, balance and mouthfeel carefully considered at every stage.

How many familiar faces can you spot? 👀🍷

It never gets old hearing people’s first reaction to ZENO - and it’s rather lovely to see so many familiar faces and w**e experts recognising what we set out to create.

ZENO begins as w**e : made with organically grown grapes from our single estate in central Spain (our Viura recently won Gold & Best of Show Spain at Mundus Vini!) before being carefully liberated of its alcohol.

The result is award-winning, vegan w**e with all the character and complexity you expect in your glass - just without the alcohol.
