Our pub has a very interesting history that dates back to Georgian times. Today though, we offer a winning combination of great food (freshly prepared), excellent beers and wines, topped with superb service. Renowned for great pub food, The Duke of Kent offers a seasonal A La Carte menu alongside delicious daily specials. Using locally-sourced produce wherever possible, Head Chef, Kevin Jones creates simple yet stunning dishes that guarantee to put a smile on your face. Our wonderfully satisfying A La Carte menus change regularly to make the best of seasonal produce, while specials change daily to provide a wealth of choice every day. Of course on a Sunday, it simply has to be our very special roast dinner. We can provide high chairs and a dedicated kids menu, we've also got plenty of space for prams! In warm weather to enjoy our huge beer garden at its best! Then in winter, cosy up next to the fireplace and relax on one of our sofas!

Looking for somewhere a little more private for your next family get-together? ❤️

Meet **The Old Off Licence**, our lovely private dining area tucked away just off the main bar at the Duke of Kent.

With its beautiful blue panelling, cosy seating and two dining tables, it’s a wonderful space for family lunches, birthday celebrations or simply getting everyone together for a meal.

The area can even be curtained off, giving you your own little corner of the pub to enjoy.

It’s also available for smaller social gatherings and informal meetings.
