We recently took the difficult decision to place Redemption Brewing into administration as we work to secure the future of the brewery.
FRP Advisory have been appointed as administrators.
We’ve made this move in order to give Redemption the best possible chance of continuing under new investment or ownership.
Importantly, the brewery continues to trade and our beers remain in the market while this process is ongoing.
As founders, and as a husband and wife team who have built Redemption together over the last 16 years, this is deeply emotional for both of us. But we remain fully involved and are working closely with the administrators while options for the brewery and brand are actively explored.
Redemption has always been an independent London brewery with a loyal following, strong relationships across the trade, and beers that continue to be enjoyed in pubs across the city and beyond.
While the business has faced significant financial pressure in recent years, particularly rising operating costs and the sharp increase in industrial rents following Covid, we firmly believe there is still a strong future for the brand under the right structure.
The love for this brewery has always been real. We now need to turn that into the next chapter for Redemption.
Our beers remain in the market, the brand remains active, and we’d encourage people to continue supporting the pubs and venues serving Redemption beers over the coming weeks.
If you fancy supporting us right now, the best way is simple: drink Redemption in your local.
And if there was ever a week to order another pint of Redemption, this is probably it.
The response we’ve already received from customers, pubs, shareholders, suppliers and friends of the brewery has reminded us how much this brewery means to people, and we’re incredibly grateful for that support.
We’ll share further updates when we’re able to.
