Stepney City Farm is a 4.5 acre working farm; a rural oasis, in the heart of Tower Hamlets. We give children and adults a chance to meet farm animals, learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts. Every Saturday, the Farm hosts a popul

ar Farmer’s Market. We have an extensive education programme, with over 5,000 school children and young people benefiting from funded classes, tours and projects each year. An educational charity working to improve lives through farming; we provide a welcoming green space to bring together our diverse community, and cultivate wellbeing through high-welfare, environmentally-sustainable farming practices. FILM SCREENING AT THE FARM
📢 A special community climate film screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

Translations will be shown with English and Bengali subtitles.

Free vegan snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please note that we are unable to accommodate all dietary requirements, and food may not be suitable for those with serious allergies. Contact us in advance if you have any concerns.

We will be inviting / We have invited the local MP's and Councillors and are optimistic that they will join with constituents for this important discussion about our future.

Today is the big day!

Join us for the Stepney May Day Festival at Stepney City Farm, 10am-3pm.

We'll have 30 market stalls with craft and food;

May Pole dance workshops with a live band from Folk Dance Remixed at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, and 3pm;

sheep shearing demonstrations at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm;

free have-a-go pottery wheel sessions all day;

free face-painting;

and wool spinning demonstrations with the London Guild of Weavers and Spinners.

PLUS, our onsite cafe Stepney's will be celebrating their one-year anniversary!

This year, we'd also like to say a big thank you to Deckers, L&Q, Morgan Sindall, and Bidvest Noonan for supporting the event and keeping entry and activities completely free for visitors. See you there!

Sheep shearing demonstrations at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm
