We are delighted to be welcoming Alexandra Tolstoy back to the Club as she curates and hosts a Summer Fair within LILA on Wednesday 3rd June.

The Fair will bring together a handpicked selection of independent makers, artisans, and creatives to present and sell their goods, with all being welcome to attend the day.

‘Spring is the moment I wait for all year.’ — George Scott-Toft, Executive Chef

What better than perfectly cooked lamb on a Sunday at this time of year? Dorset lamb rack and shoulder, accompanied by parsley salsa verde, mint, garlic, capers and lemon juice, new season peas, carrot purée and glazed carrots, pairs perfectly with a generous glass of smooth, medium-bodied northern Rhône red.

And to follow, a special treat: buttermilk panna cotta, with fresh strawberries, lemon curd, coconut crumble and pistachio tuile.

‘Spring arrives slowly, then all at once.’ — George Scott-Toft, Executive Chef

As we continue celebrating the abundance and freshness of spring produce, here are two more dishes from Helena’s menu, which Luca, our Head Sommelier, has paired to highlight and elevate the unique notes and flavours.

To start, a terrine of duck confit with rich foie gras, pistachio, grape mustard and mustard leaves, is best paired with a skin-contact wine, opening a new dimension on the palate. This one from Tiko Estate is from Georgia, with notes of dried apricot and ripe peach that are a perfect fit for the duck.

For main course, we have sourced delicious MòR Atlantic trout from the Isle of Skye, served with cauliflower and garlic purée, sautéed asparagus and a white wine saffron sauce. For this, Luca recommends a classic Provence rosé, and this organic option from Château Galoupet is a beautiful match.

‘There’s a moment in April, when everything in the kitchen shifts. The produce that arrives feels different. Lighter and more awake.’ George Scott-Toft, Executive Chef

It is the time of the season, and with that brings a host of delicious new dishes for our menu at Helena’s that we will be spotlighting here over the coming posts. Up first we have two delicious new starters.

Our crudo of sustainbly caught yellowfin tuna uses the top loin, a dressing of red chilli, avocado, dark soy and olive oil, and then served with crunchy fennel and fennel pollen.

We are also introducing a true favourite in Italian burrata, served with grilled green beans, asparagus, pistachio tapenade and extra virgin olive oil.

‘Spring produce doesn’t shout. It asks you to pay attention – and rewards you when you do.’ George Scott-Toft, Executive Chef

Last night, LILA at The Sloane Club was transformed into something truly special. Surrounded by the rich textures of the Thames Carpets collection, the evening unfolded with a sense of soul, warmth, and genuine connection that filled the room.
Our deepest thanks to Noni Ware from House & Garden, whose thoughtful moderation set the tone with such kindness and compassion, guiding a conversation that felt both intimate and expansive. Sophie Javadi-Babreh brought colour, creativity, and a beautiful sense of community, sharing her evolving vision with generosity and grace.

Together with Rohan Golestan, the dialogue explored heritage, craft, and contemporary expression in a way that resonated deeply with everyone present.

From the music to the conversation, the tea to the table, it was an evening grounded in friendship and shared appreciation.
The Sloane Club is incredibly grateful to all who joined us and helped make the night so memorable.

The Magic Carpet Salon has landed in LILA.

This April we present Woven Narratives: a month-long installation and creative salon in LILA in partnership with Thames Carpets | Rugs, exploring craft, heritage, and intergenerational dialogue.

With a wider programme of events, from creative sessions to tastings, yoga and more, this Thursday we host an intimate conversation in-the-round between Sophie Javadi-Babreh of Thames Carpets and Paris-based architect Rohan Golestan.

The dialogue will explore the intersection of textiles and architectural space, family legacy, and what it means to carry craft forward across generations. Moderated by Noni Ware, Acting Executive Editor, Home Division, House and Garden.

Easter at The Sloane Club

This season, we are celebrating renewal, gathering and the small details that connect past and present.

The oval, so known to our Members, has become a subtle symbol of continuity at the Club. This Easter, it feels especially fitting as a form that holds and brings things together, much like the moments shared within our walls.

Wishing you a restful and joyful Easter weekend.

Expertly-made fresh croissants every morning Now there’s something to get truly excited about.

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes at 52 Lower Sloane Street of late, as we build toward the opening of our brand new all-day destination .

The ovens are on, the tables are made, and the menus have been printed. We cannot wait open the doors bright and early on Wednesday 1st April.

When Russell Sage Studio were tasked with re-imagining our Club bedrooms, they were inspired by the idea of a classic Chelsea mews house and the spirit of care, comfort and practicality. The results speak for themselves, with every detail focused on providing respite. But what makes a stay at the Club truly special?

Sebastian Knoerr, our Director of Rooms, has some thoughts on this. Having recently joined us from some of the world’s most renowned hotels, including Mandarin Oriental and The Savoy, Sebastian believes it takes something more than carefully placed amenities; something that, perhaps, can’t simply be replicated elsewhere.

“When a Member walks through the door to stay at the Club, it feels different to a day visit. The decision to stay at the Club carries a particular kind of trust that goes beyond where you will rest your head.

I have spent a long time in hospitality. The mechanics of a comfortable stay, the details in a room, these things matter, of course. But the feeling of already belonging somewhere before you have even unpacked is something you cannot create through a thread count.

When a Member stays with us, we are not preparing a room for a guest. We are preparing it for someone who is, in every sense, at home here. Someone we know well, because we have had the privilege of time with them.

No two stays are the same, because no two Members are the same and that is the part of the work I feel most grateful for.”

Yesterday evening at the Sloane Club we hosted a screening of the documentary ‘Beyond the Silk Road’ - exploring the landscapes, traditions and nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan, featuring Dominic West and Clarke Peters, and led by Alexandra Tolstoy.

Tracing ancient caravan routes through some of Central Asia’s most remote regions, the film offers a rare glimpse into nomadic life.

Thank you to Alexandra for sharing this experience with members, and to David Annand for leading an engaging Q&A – an evening that will stay with us.
