No gimmicks with this one, green tea has been consumed for thousands of years!
Green tea is one of the only natural sources of L-theanine, an amino acid that increases alpha brain wave activity.
That’s the brain state associated with calm, relaxed alertness. Studies published in The Journal of Nutrition found that the combination of L-theanine and natural caffeine together improves sustained attention and reaction time.
The result? Calm, clear focus. No jitters. No crash.
Green tea is also rich in polyphenols, particularly a compound called EGCG, which has been linked to cardiovascular health, reduced inflammation, and long-term brain health.
If you want to try it for yourself, we stock Nilgiri Green from Bellevue Tea. a delicate, refreshing loose leaf sourced from the Parkside estate, grown at 7,000 feet in the Nilgiri hills of India.
It is gently energising, naturally hydrating, and because no milk is needed, it will not break your fast.
