We’re open from 5am tomorrow morning, and we’ve got some beautiful meat ready for you!

A few things to get your taste buds going:

🥧 Our pie maker has made the most amazing gammon pies with leek, wholegrain mustard and crème fraîche. Honestly, they’re unbelievable.

🥓 I’ve dry-cured some lovely gammon using English collar pork. Proper old-school flavour, not too salty — an easy 10 out of 10.

🥩 And our topside of beef has been getting rave reviews. We’ve been selling loads of it, and at a sensible price it’s well worth trying for your Sunday roast.

We’ve got lots of new creations in the shop, so come down and see what takes your fancy. We’d love to see you!

We carefully select it for eating quality, allow it to mature properly so the tenderness and deep, full flavour can develop, and then our skilled butchers cut every steak and joint by hand.

We leave the right amount of fat where it adds flavour, prepare each cut correctly and always give honest advice on the best way to cook it.

Yesterday, I popped in to see our friends at J Ayres Bakery to deliver some of our lovely sausage meat for their famous sausage rolls.

While I was there, I had a chat with the baker—and he’s really looked after us on some beautiful, freshly baked soft baps!

So this week, when you buy four of our homemade steak burgers, we’re going to gift you four fresh baps completely FREE!

Our proper butcher-made burgers are a different league from those horrible mass-produced ones people often associate with burger night—and now they’ve got the proper bakery baps to match!

What a special moment in the shop this morning ❤️

Our young apprentice, Louie, had the pleasure of serving his lovely nan and cutting her four beautiful ribeye steaks. It was made even more meaningful knowing that her husband, Louie’s grandad, was a very well-respected butcher at London’s famous Smithfield Market.

A proud moment and a lovely reminder that butchery really does run in the family! 🥩🔪

🔪 THERE’S A NEW BOY ON THE BLOCK! 🔪

Our Saturday boy, Little Louie, recently came to us and asked if he could begin a proper butchery apprenticeship—and we couldn’t be happier to have him!

It fills us with real pride to give something back to the trade, teach the next generation and show him all the tricks of the trade.

Little Louie comes from a family of butchers, so you could say it’s already in his blood! We’re really looking forward to watching him learn, develop and become a valued member of the team.

Welcome aboard, Little Louie! 🥩👏
