Most people picture a room, a projector, and someone at the front explaining soil types for an hour while everyone quietly checks their phone.

That is exactly what a Para Dewa Bespoke Experience isn't.

Mine are built to be fun first. Yes, you'll taste beautiful w**es and you'll leave knowing more than you did. But the point is the room: people talking to each other, laughing, arguing about which glass they liked best and forgetting about work for a couple of hours.

That's the bit that actually brings people together. The w**e is just the excuse. 🍷

𝐖𝐡𝐨'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞? 🍷

Hello - I'm Divya, and this is Para Dewa.

I was born in India and grew up in Indonesia, and I've spent most of my working life in finance. I still do, actually.

W**e was something for me, that I loved outside of all that. Years of tasting, learning and asking far too many questions later, I decided to finally do something with it. And in 2024, Para Dewa was born.

The name is Indonesian. It comes from a phrase meaning "A gift from the gods" - a little nod to where my story began.

Today Para Dewa is two things: a collection of w**es I've genuinely fallen in love with, made by small producers with a thoughtful, sustainable approach, and the experiences I host around them. And there's more to come... (watch this space)

Great w**e, interesting people and better conversations. That's the whole idea.

Last night at The Victoria in East Sheen - seven w**es, three countries, three courses and 36 people who came ready for a good evening.

A couple of the w**es (Dry Szamorodni from TR Tállya Tokaj and Pelle Pince, Mád, Tokaj-Hegyalja Borange) were ones most people have never heard of, which is rather the point. No pretence, no right answers, no need to know the "right" things about w**e. Just w**es worth talking about and a room happy to talk about them.

The team at The Victoria matched every course beautifully - and made my job very easy.

Thank you to everyone who came, the familiar faces and the many new ones. Great w**e, interesting people and better conversations. That's what Para Dewa Collection is all about.

I have to love them. All of them. And they're all made by amazing small producers - often women - chasing the best possible expression of that grape, that soil, that year.

As a Sheen-based business, we’re especially excited to be part of the day and share some of our favourite w**es from the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐰𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 with our local community.

Just another day at the office… 🍷😄

Although I have to admit, my office looks a little different these days!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of hosting a w**e tasting for 𝐒𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐜 at Eight Members Club Moorgate - lots of lovely w**es, plenty of questions, a few laughs and absolutely no w**e snobbery allowed.

Corporate w**e tastings really don’t need to feel like “compulsory team building”. Give people a glass of something delicious and you’d be surprised how quickly the conversation starts flowing. 😉

My weekend drinking. All from our Summer Served event, all perfect for this gorgeous weekend.

Tonight: le Grand Cros La Fleur
Tomorrow and Sunday: TR w**e lovefest with pet nat and a their gorgeously balanced sweet w**e

So many people say they don't like sweet w**es, but the w**e that got the highest preference ratings was the TR Edes. Perfect with Eton Mess, summer in a glass
