This review brought tears to my eyes, I had to share it.
Linh wrote that our Pho Flavour Bomb transported her straight back to her grandma’s kitchen in Vietnam, that it reminded her of spending time with her family so vividly it brought tears to her eyes too. She had bought it on a whim, not expecting much, but now feels like she has “a bit of my family from back home with me whenever I want.”
Reading that made my heart full. So many of us have friends and family scattered across the world, people and places we miss dearly. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that bring them closer again, a scent, a taste, a sound. For just a moment, you’re there, back home, surrounded by love, warmth and laughter.
When I spent time in Vietnam in my early twenties, staying with a friend’s family, I saw first-hand how deeply food, family and culture are intertwined. Meals weren’t just about eating; they were about connection, storytelling and love. Every dish carried meaning and memory. That experience has stayed with me ever since and the taste of my friend's mums Pho forever engrained on my tastebuds.
Flavour Bombs were created with that same spirit in mind, to preserve and honour the recipes and traditions that have been passed down through generations, and to make them easy to bring to life wherever you are. It’s about keeping those flavours alive for the future, and sharing the joy, comfort and belonging they carry with anyone who needs a taste of home, easily and accessibly.
Knowing that something we made gave Linh that feeling whenever she's feeling homesick or longing for her grandmas cooking really means the world.
Cam On, Linh 🤍
