PDBC x PRIZM ✨🔑 LOW KEY - 7% NEIPA

We’ve bumped into Mo, co-founder of PRIZM BREWING CO. in Montpellier, a few times over the last couple of years and have always been drawn to his completely chill, low-key energy 🤙

After plenty of shared beers, it was only a matter of time before we got one in the tanks together. So, when Mo hit us up to say he was coming over to London for a “low key ops” trip, we finally made it happen 🤝

Low Key is a 7% zinger of a NEIPA loaded with NZ hops. The hot side is all Nelson Sauvin, including a ‘hop dip’ of Nelson SubZero Hop Kief for a deeply saturated, tangy tropical base. A hefty dry hop of Nectaron and Peacharine piles on wildly aromatic stone fruit, juicy nectarine and sweet citrus.

BLAUI PEPPERONI 💙 5.5% Raspberry Sour

A few weeks ago, our pals at BIERlab in Zurich popped over to brew a sour with us and introduced us to a Bierlab tradition - naming all their collabs after pop songs.

Naturally, we took this as an opportunity to dive into the world of Swiss pop and discovered Blaui Pepperoni, a 2014 Swiss-German hit by Lo & Leduc, which pairs upbeat synthy pop with surprisingly bleak lyrics 🥲

Blaui Pepperoni is a pure raspberry sour. Pouring a ruby red, it’s juicy and tart, with a little sweetness to soften the edges.

For the label, Nanna took cues from the bold, graphic work of Italian artist Enzo Mari - a small nod to the Swiss-German use of the Italian ‘Pepperoni’ for pepper, rather than the German ‘Paprika’.

THE BLIMPS 💭

To blimp, or not to blimp? That is the question. A question that does seem to have been answered by the fact that there are apparently only 25 blimps left on Earth, and only about half of them are still in use. So what an honour it was to see the Goodyear Blimp floating majestically over London recently!

In celebration of this wondrous and highly inefficient mode of transport – once considered the future of flight no less! – we give you: The Blimps.

Greater Spotted Blimp is a 5% DDH Pale Ale. A smooth, mellow flight through Mosaic, Nectaron and Superdelic.

Lesser Spotted Blimp is a 7% NEIPA, hopped with Idaho 7 Cryo, Idaho 7 CGX, Nectaron and Simcoe. A long-haul adventure through tropical climes, thick clouds and a little dank humidity.

Fly (not too) high, sweet dirigibles!

KARTOFFELSALAT 🥔 4.8% HELLES

The tato salad - one of the finest carb-based dishes known to man, and the inspo for our Oktoberfest lager: Kartoffelsalat.

Potatoes are the shining glory, but everyone’s got their own fiercely held opinion on what makes the tastiest of tato salads. Mayo or salad cream? Dijon or American mustard? Dill or no dill? Eggs? Pickles? Tuna? Bacon? Celery?!

However you salat, this beer is designed as the final ingredient to pull the whole thing together. Because when all is said and done, nothing pairs better with a big ol’ bowl of potato than a crisp, perfectly bitter and lightly floral Helles lager. Prost!

Buy Your Own Bait! 🪱 6.2% NEIPA

Imagine you’re 14, and you head out into your back garden one day to find your boyfriend (who hadn’t been invited over btw) hunched over the compost heap, rummaging for worms. “They’re just so plump!” he cries, wild-eyed, holding fistfuls of lively wrigglers up to his face. Don’t worry, turns out this was an early sign of a promising professional fishing career, and not a cry for help. Phew!

Hopped with Idaho 7 Cryo and Idaho 7 CGX - two concentrated forms of Idaho 7, using more of the flavour-packed lupulin and less of the leafy stuff - for biiiiig tropicals and jammy apricot, with Motueka bringing a zippy little lime finish. Straw yellow in the glass and as soft and plump as a premium bit of bait. Hook, line and sinker!

Throbbing Blister 🩹 4.5% West Coast Pale Ale

Oh DMs, I love you so. But why you gotta do that to my toe. A size too small, but you look unreal. RIP to my heel. Blistered and bleeding, but I won’t quit, one dayI swear, these shoes will fit 🥲

A West Coast Pale with Strata, Columbus, Centennial and Chinook. Dank and piney, with a punchy fruity bitterness and a crisp finish. Lace ‘em up!

T*SCO SPECIALS 🛒

Celebrating 5 years of our core Session IPA, I Could Get Better at T*sco for a Quid, with a triple drop of T*sco-inspired specials – all starring Mosaic and Simcoe, each with an addition of one of our favourite hops layered on top for a little something extra.

First up, if you can’t go big on your birthday, when can you? Finest, an 8% DIPA to toast half a decade of satisfied customers. First released in 2025, it’s back this year with a new malt bill and super-soft water profile. Mosaic, Simcoe and a dusting of everyone’s favourite Citra for a little extra zest – think of it as the Superstore version of our original Session IPA. Big, juicy haze that slips down like silk.

Then we’ve got Florence & Fred, a 6.5% NEIPA and a 5% DDH Pale Ale, in honour of the best place to get your un**es. F&F, pioneers of the basics multipack. There is, in our opinion, no better place to pick up a 5-pack of pants and vests while you shop for dinner.

A hardworking duo both showcasing Mosaic and Simcoe, à la the original Session IPA. Fred gets a sprinkling of Nelson Sauvin to amplify the deep tropical fruit, while Florence gets a Nectaron accent for a touch of sweet stone fruit.

This weekend, we fondly look back on the day James excitedly logged into our Google reviews and discovered the one-star review (sob) that inspired our now-core Session IPA ‘I Could Get Better at T*sco for a Quid’.

So, to honour that fateful bit of customer feedback, we’re throwing a T*sco Turns 5 birthday weekender across all our taprooms, starting TOMORROW!

We’ve got three new T*sco-inspired beers (more on those tomorrow) and plenty(ish) more going on:

⭐ Thursday 27th – First Pour of the T*sco Birthday Beers at all taprooms
⭐ Friday 28th – Nanna’s Night Off DJ Set at Forest Gate
⭐ Saturday 29th – Tappy-to-Tappy 10km Run, FG to BHR at 12pm
⭐ Monday 31st – Bank Holiday All Day Happy Hour on core beers at all taprooms

NEW RELEASE 🍍 My Other Can is a Sour - 5.5% Pineapple & Coconut Sour

It’s a fact that all the best summer drinks contain pineapple and coconut. Piña Coladas, Malibu tinnies, tepache (IYKYK)... that may actually be the whole list. Until right now!

Wanting a slice of that tasty tropical dream, we’ve combined sweet, juicy pineapple with fragrant, creamy coconut milk in this month’s sour. It’s fruity and refreshing and if you close your eyes you can almost taste the all-inclusive beach holiday 💭

Two Burp-themed beers because, as you well know, one burp is rarely enough to get the job done!

I Used To Be Burped In Nightclubs - 6.5% NEIPA

Some people need a taxi home. Others need a glass of water. But actually, all you need on a big night out is a good burping and you’re good to go another round!

Like a noughties light-up dancefloor, this NEIPAs saturated with sticky fruit juice, bursting with perfectly ripe mango, passionfruit and flashes of vibrant lime. A hefty Superdelic and Nectaron dry hop brings a Haribo Heart sweetness and a soft, squidgy finish.

Lift, Squeeze, Belch, Repeat.

Primal Burp - 5% DDH Pale Ale

A good classic burp has structural integrity, a medium body, a multi-layered flavour profile and a lingering finish. Which are almost exactly the same characteristics you’ll find in a classic hop pairing of Mosaic and El Dorado.

Mosaic Cryo and T90 brings soft waves of berry, peach and citrus, while El Dorado Cryo gives juicy Fruit-tella Summer Fruits, tangy pineapple and tropical sweetness.

Drink it down. Burp it back.

RE-RELEASE SERIES 🗂️

Over the years we’ve brewed a lot of beer. With one to three specials landing most weeks, we’ve had plenty of opportunities to experiment with new recipes, explore hop combinations and continually dial in our brewing techniques.

Starting this month, alongside our usual specials, we’ll be opening the archive and bringing back a beer from PD history each month, in the run up to our *tiny trumpets* 10TH BIRTHDAY next year!

Some are coming back because we loved the artwork. Some because we loved the recipe or hop bill. And some just because we reckon they deserve another shot. Each month we’ll chat through why we’ve brought it back, what’s changed, and what we’ve learnt since we first brewed it.

Like a proud parent flicking through a photo album, it’s nice to look back every now and then and see how far you’ve come. Or remind yourself that some things, like bowl cuts (and dill pickle gose), are probably best left in the past.

We’re kicking things off next week so keep ‘em peeled folks. And let us know if there’s anything you’re hoping to see make a come back!
