Forbury Fiesta 2026 - 2 days to go!

As part of this year’s event, the bandstand will be transformed into a magical storytelling hub filled with music, imagination, and interactive fun.

🎵 Join Reading Libraries and Ziggy’s Music Live for two lively Rhymetime sessions celebrating the joy of reading and the National Year of reading. These fun, interactive sessions are perfect for children under 5 and their families and include music, movement, and plenty of opportunities to join in. Sessions take place at 11.30am – 12.00pm and 12.30pm – 1.00pm.

🦓 Enjoy a delightful interactive storytelling session with Reading Rep Theatre - they will be reading The Zebra Who Lost His Stripes by local author Rachel Fowler. With shakers, music, dancing, and bubbles, little ones can help us on a playful adventure to find the Zebra’s missing stripes. Perfect for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

📖 Round off the day with a special storytime session hosted by Waterstones Reading Broad St. A perfect opportunity to relax, listen, and enjoy a beautifully told story together.
