🍷Following a significant market correction, fine w**e valuations remain well below previous highs, but buying activity is beginning to return.🍷

US buyers accounted for 26.9% of total purchase value in Q2 2026, rising from 23.3% in Q1 and an average of 20.7% during 2025. More recently, US participation reached 45% of purchased value in one August trading week, followed by 41% the next.

For investors who have been waiting on the sidelines, this combination is worth watching: lower valuations, improving activity and growing buyer participation.

The opportunity may not be in waiting for the recovery to become obvious. It could be in entering while prices remain at comparatively attractive levels.

The market has reset. Now could be the time to take a closer look at fine w**e.

As Bordeaux faces one of its most challenging summers in recent memory, the w**e world is watching closely.

While many of the region’s leading vineyards have so far avoided direct fire damage, prolonged heat, drought and concerns around potential smoke taint are creating uncertainty ahead of the 2026 harvest.

It’s another reminder of something unique about fine w**e as an asset.

Every vintage is a finite production. Once bottled, supply can only decrease as w**es are consumed. When nature impacts future production, scarcity often becomes even more pronounced.

It’s too early to know the full effect these conditions will have on the 2026 vintage, but events like these highlight why provenance, rarity and long-term supply remain fundamental drivers of the fine w**e market.

The Vin-X team has been on the ground in Bordeaux this week for En Primeur 2025 🍷

A consistent vintage is emerging across the board, with yields down by as much as 50% in some cases.

So far, we’ve spent time with some of the region’s leading estates, including Château Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion, Château Haut-Bailly, Château Giscours and Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

We’re also seeing a noticeable shift in Left Bank blends, with increased Merlot usage in 2025.
