We are a pair of (self-taught ) amateur chefs who lost our way in the race of life and ended up in totally different professions. Since then, we took our masters, PhD, got jobs and travelled places. But we kept dreaming about Gulab jamuns, Bibimbaps and French fries. Cooked, Baked and Carved(CBC) is our final lifeline to escape from our mundane life and enjoy what we are really good at. There's nothing as comforting as home food and even better when you get a break from cooking and washing up! I would go here again for it's non intrusive yet efficient service, beautiful ambience and authentic mouth watering Kerala food. We were 4 noisy women on rum and coke who hogged the table for a good 3.5 hours and we had the best time. PS: Rasa also does take aways, lamb mulagittathu gets top marks!

I have gone bananas for this Sunday brunch paartay! Here we have
🌿 Thai spiced red pork
🌿 Prawns pollichachu
🌿 Cabbage thoran ( cabbage stir fried with coconut)

Banana leaves can make any dish look pretty lol. I have managed to get tonnes of these from , so look out for these in every single dish 🤣 Happy Sunday instafam ♥️

Today's special, Sardine fry/ Chala varuthathu . To be enjoyed with a mandatory chilled glass of white wine 😊
Marinade
🐟 Tumeric
🐟 Chilli powder
🐟 Pepper
🐟Fish masala
🐟Salt
🐟 Oil - sardine is a very oily fish and doesn't really need much oil for frying. Adding oil to the marinade gives it a crispy exterior
🐟curry leaves
Method:
Mix the ingredients above and make a paste. Cover the sardines with it and keep aside for 15 - 30 minutes. Fry on high flame till crispy on the outside and then on low flame to cook it. Sardines are really small and doesn't require much cooking time. Personally, I don't add oil while frying as we have already added to the marinade. Enjoy!
