Wonderful day yesterday at The South Suffolk Show!
We only took one Oxford Sandy and Black pig, called Babbs. She's a two-year-old sow who's just raised her second litter.
She had a very successful day!

"Jermey" is an Oxford Sandy and Black boar from the Alistair bloodline. He's one of eight breeding boars that we have at Tom's Farm, these boys travel around the country doing their best as ambassadors to save the #oxfordsandyandblackpigs from decline.

Here at Tom's Farm we have various "animal ambassadors" that go off on a loan basis to other projects across the country to help educate the wider population. This is one of our Pedigree Oxford Sandy and Black sows "Dewlish Gloria" who's gone on to the amazing project, @curlysfarm. Kyle and his team do a fantastic job supporting and educating their young people down at the farm. We're incredibly pleased to be working with them on our "OSB Pedigree Pig Project". We've just started our small flock of pedigree Border Leicesters on our school/city farm in London.
The farm is set up as a therapy resource for young people diagnosed with social,emotional and mental health needs however, we also offer accredited qualifications in animal care and run outreach projects all over London teaching children and adults about farm to fork education. These lambs are then halter broken and used as education tools at our pop up farm to fork days ...
We're passionate about pedigree native breeds and Borders have found a welcome home with us at Tom's Farm
We put a lot of orphan lambs out to other school farms all over the country. Currently we have lots of lovely Southdown breeders who donate us ewe lambs eligible for registration and the occasional whether to help educate the next generation.
I was just putting a plea out there to see if there was and BL breeders who'd be keen to get involved with this fantastic project. We are part of registered charity and any lambs are a fantastic help ... any money raised goes straight back into the project.
