Heading back for the first time in eight years, this time to celebrate the US launch of my second w**e book. What a full-circle moment

Twice in one week✨
HIDE I’m a lucky lady🍷 🍽️

Gorg catch-up with my girls Charlotte Sutters. Georgi treated us to a little Chardonnay showdown from Hedonism W**es: 00 from Oregon vs By Farr from Geelong, which naturally descended into a lively debate over who does Chardonnay better, Australia or the USA!
Can you guess my fav?? 🇦🇺🇺🇸

Very few snaps of the w**e or food, but the seasonal dishes were all freshness, flair & great acidity. The tomato tart really gives, plus my habitual favourites: green chilli soft-shell crab & the lobster and scallop kataifi fried dumpling 🤌🏻

I’m back next week 🤭

Bordeaux w**es in this week’s YOU Magazine 🍷

My recent trip to this fab w**e region reminded me of the diversity of w**es on offer. We sipped on crémant, indulged in both zesty and oaky styles of white, plenty of rouge, and even a few sweet sips (I try to avoid a sugar hit, but Sauternes is my absolute weakness!)

This week I’ve got four recommendations starting at just £8.50, and an amazing artisan crémant find that shows just how interesting and serious this category is 🥂

Despite drowning my guests in ch*****ne, we scrubbed up pretty well 🥂💁🏻‍♀️

One week on from publication (and despite spending the past three days horizontal with flu), I’m still riding the high 🤍

It’s publication day! Posting this from Octopus HQ before I go for another glass of ch*****ne 🤭🥂

Very surreal to say my second book, W**e & Dine at Home, is now officially out in the world

I wrote this during a difficult year, when I was deep in grief, and having such a joyful, creative project to throw myself into was a very welcome escape. I’m really proud

So much love to all my people for supporting me and making this week so special. And lots of love to Laura Jalbert for her constant support and bringing this whole project to life with her incredible photography. She’s a beauty! 🤍

Anyway, enough sentimentality - more ch*****ne 🥂

W**e & Dine at Home - Episode 4: Orange w**e with crispy gnocchi, sage & butternut 🧡

If orange w**e sounds a bit intimidating, don’t panic! It’s simply white w**e made with skin contact, giving it that gorgeous amber colour & a more textured, savoury character mmm

And honestly…pan-frying gnocchi is a revelation. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle - here with roasted butternut squash & sage - all those earthy, savoury flavours work a dream with orange w**e
