Our next Richmond Rum Club is set for a trip back to Guadeloupe, this time focusing on the incredible Rhums of Marie‑Galante.

Marie‑Galante is a small island with a huge reputation in the rum world. Its agricoles are expressive, powerful, and unmistakably tied to the island’s identity; from bright, grassy blancs to deeply characterful aged expressions.

We’ll be pouring bottles that show exactly why Marie‑Galante has such a devoted following, including rums that are rarely seen in the UK and a few that don’t make it here at all.

Seen here is in an amazing 'punch and will be 1 of 3 Distilleries that we will be showcasing on the session and these gems are not to be missed!

Our next three Rum Club sessions are now live, and tickets are available. We’re spreading our wings a little to show just how global this spirit truly is:

🔹Tuesday 28th April — UK‑Made Rum (yes, really!)

A wave of new distilleries has appeared across the UK in recent years, producing innovative, surprising rums that are absolutely worth your attention.

🔹Tuesday 26th May — Guadeloupe Part 2: Rhums of Marie‑Galante

An unsung gem of the rum world. This tiny island produces some of the most beloved agricoles among enthusiasts — the name Marie‑Galante alone makes rum fans sit up.

🔹Thursday 25th June — Asia‑Pacific Rums

A region we’ve discussed often at club nights, and one that’s rapidly emerging on the global stage. We’re excited to take a deep dive into these distinctive rums!!

Whether you’re new to rum or already deep in the rabbit hole, everyone’s welcome at Richmond Rum Club to sip, savour and explore the journey together.

đź’Ą Rhums of Guadeloupe đź’Ą

Only one week to go until we dive into the incredible rhums we discovered on our recent trip to Guadeloupe. We’ll be showcasing bottles from three standout distilleries — and here’s a first look at one of them:

Based on Grande‑Terre, Damoiseau will be our sole representative from that side of the island and is arguably the most widely recognised rhum to come out of Guadeloupe.

Keep an eye out over the next few days as we drop teasers from the other distilleries we’ll be featuring.

This weekend we hosted an impromptu private tasting for a group celebrating in style — and what better way than a deep dive into the incredible diversity of Caribbean rum.

Even when you focus on just a handful of islands, the spectrum is huge. We moved from the clean, refined elegance of Cuban rum all the way through to the big, heavy hitters of Jamaica and Grenada, with plenty of characterful stops in between.

Across the line‑up we explored column‑still rum, pot‑and‑column blends, and full pot‑still expressions. Fermentations ranged from short to long, and our raw materials covered molasses, fresh sugarcane juice, and even sugarcane honey.

A lot of ground covered — in just six rums.

Not a bad way to spend a few hours of the weekend, sharing what we love and introducing new drinkers to the world’s most diverse spirit.
