🍂 As the growing season begins to wind down, we’re looking forward to slowing the pace a little and welcoming you into the Hayloft for our cosy Autumn Wreath Workshops.

We’ve been gradually gathering and foraging around the farm for all sorts of lovely seasonal treasures – seed heads, grasses, foliage, berries and more – to use alongside our amazing selection of beautiful dried flowers.

Together, we’ll spend a relaxed few hours creating wonderfully wild and natural autumn wreaths, with plenty of guidance along the way. And, of course, no cosy afternoon in the Hayloft would be complete without cake and mulled c***r!

We’re still recovering from last weekend’s epic wedding… but there’s no rest for the wicked!

We’ve been working incredibly hard over the last week or so preparing flowers for a very special wedding here at Horsenden Farm, and what a magical day it was!

It was a chance to stretch ourselves creatively and try some larger-scale installations for the first time, including a floating floral arch and meadow boxes. Designing the mechanics was a challenge, particularly as we were determined to use sustainable materials with no floral foam or single-use plastics — but we did it, and were ever so pleased with the results!

Alongside the installations, we created all the flowers for the day: table arrangements, cake flowers, buttonholes, bridesmaids’ bouquets and, of course, the bridal bouquet.

The vast majority were grown right here at Horsenden, supplemented with some beautiful stems from neighbouring Golden Rose Flower Farm, who supplied some of the dusky pinks and whites we needed. We love being able to support a fellow grower while keeping things seasonal and locally grown.

It was very much a team effort, with our amazing volunteers getting stuck into harvesting, conditioning, arranging and problem-solving throughout the week. We simply couldn’t have pulled it off without them.

It was also lovely to make new connections, including Pippa Martinson Cakes, who created the most beautiful three-tiered cake featuring our very own Horsenden-grown dahlias.

An epic undertaking, but so rewarding to see the farm transformed and what can be achieved with locally grown flowers, sustainable floristry and a brilliant team.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Nick for trusting us and giving us the freedom to create something so special. It was a real privilege to be part of your beautiful day — heartfelt congratulations to you both! 💕

🌸 A little flower shop reminder! 🌸

Horsenden Farm Flowers will be closed this week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) as we’re busy creating arrangements for a very special wedding at the farm!

We’ll be back as usual next week with more beautiful, locally grown flowers.

We had the BEST Apple Day! 🍏🌸💚

Our fresh dahlia bunches and jam jar posies went down an absolute storm and sold out within hours! It was also so lovely to see people wandering around Horsenden wearing our seasonal hop flower crowns, and lots of you took home dried flower bunches too.

A huge thank you to everyone who popped by to say hello, bought some flowers and supported what we do. Every bunch you buy helps us keep growing, creating and contributing to the magical community space that is Horsenden.

There was such good energy on the farm yesterday — one of those days that reminds us why we do it all. We’ll be flying high for weeks to come! ✨

💚 Apple Day this Saturday at Horsenden! 💚

We love this time of year, the farm is overflowing with all the abundance of early autumn.

This Saturday for Apple Day (12th September), we’ll have a gorgeous selection of fresh farm-grown flowers, dried flowers and special seasonal flower crowns featuring beautiful hops

Alongside the flowers, the Horsenden Farm Shop will be bursting with glorious seasonal veg, homemade jams, preserves and other farm goodies — and, of course, there’ll be lots of apple juice! 🍏

Come and celebrate the harvest, enjoy the farm and take a little bit of Horsenden home with you. 💚

So much goes into every bunch of Horsenden Farm Flowers…

Long before the flowers reach the stall, there are seeds to sow, seedlings to propagate and transplant, and plants to tend, prune, feed and water. Then there’s all the behind-the-scenes prep: picking, conditioning and arranging, plus the less glamorous jobs like washing endless jam jars, stamping labels and preparing wraps!

And so much of it is done by our amazing team of volunteers, who turn up week after week to help us grow and make these special bunches. We simply couldn’t do it without this incredible community support and the generosity of people’s time, something we’re truly grateful for.

Every bunch you buy helps support the market garden and farm, keeping Horsenden going as the magical community space that it is.

And because our flowers are grown right here at Horsenden, they’re pretty good for the planet too! So when you buy a bunch from us, you’re supporting so much more than just the flowers.
