Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). Fast cars, great friends… and another sold-out Surtees.

Year three for Ollie Dabbous, and he’s clearly got FOS figured out as they’ve asked him back for 2027..

Between the incredible food, the buzz of FOS and a soundtrack courtesy of Marcel Mendez, Surtees has become the place to be at Goodwood.

Congratulations to Ollie and the entire team on another brilliant Festival.

A fortnight, a few thousand covers… and, by all accounts, a huge success.

Congratulations to Tom Booton, Jack and the entire team on leading the new Members’ Restaurant through another unforgettable Wimbledon Championships.

The feedback has been exceptional and somehow he’s become best mates with half the players along the way.

Not a bad couple of weeks.

New kitchen. New challenge. Same brilliant Tom Booton.

I popped into Wimbledon to see Tom in action as the very first chef to take the reins of the brand-new Members’ Restaurant… and what a setting it is.

Calm, collected and somehow smiling in the middle of Championship madness.

Huge congratulations to Tom, his ever-loyal Jack, and the whole team. Here’s to a fantastic first Wimbledon in your new home.

Royal Ascot 2026… done.

Our final day was spent with the ever-smiling Angela Hartnett and the team at ON5, perched above the Queen Anne Enclosure with one of the best views in the house.

By the end of the week they were affectionately known as Angela’s Angels, and honestly, it couldn’t have suited them more.

After five days of 14-hour shifts, they were still smiling, still laughing and still delivering the kind of service that makes hospitality look effortless.

Congratulations to Angela, her Chefs, her FOH Angels, and everyone who made another unforgettable Royal Ascot happen. Until next year!

A couple of days in Simon Rogan’s world at Royal Ascot.

Beautiful food is the easy part to photograph.
Much harder to capture are the months of planning, the relentless attention to detail, the calm leadership, the split-second decisions, and the team who make it all look effortless.

For an eighth consecutive year at Royal Ascot, Simon and his team transformed the Parade Ring Restaurant into one of the most sought-after tables at Royal Ascot.

Spending time with Simon Rogan MBE and the brigade is a reminder that great hospitality is never about one person. It’s everyone moving in the same direction, all chasing the same standard.

Congratulations to everyone involved. Another extraordinary week.

Royal Ascot in one photograph.

One person carefully studying the racecard.

The other running on coffee, adrenaline and several months of planning, deliveries, briefings, rehearsals and very early mornings.

The rest is somewhere in between.

What makes Royal Ascot so special isn’t just the racing.
It’s the people behind the scenes who spend months preparing for a few unforgettable days. The chefs, front-of-house teams, planners, suppliers, porters and countless others whose hard work makes the magic happen.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in bringing another spectacular Royal Ascot to life.

The opening days of Ascot 2026 have already delivered sunshine, style, world-class hospitality and plenty of memorable moments.
And we’re only just getting started.

People see Royal Ascot.
We see delivery vans, endless boxes, briefings, frantic phone calls and enough hi-vis jackets to start our own construction company.

The glamour comes later.

These are a few snapshots from the days leading up to opening day. The calm(ish) before the storm.

And now…
Day One has arrived.

Months of planning, organising, moving, lifting, tasting, training and preparing all comes down to this week.

Royal Ascot 2026. We’re off.

Back at Royal Ascot after 12 years…

This June, Angela Hartnett will return to Royal Ascot, taking over the kitchen at On 5, the flagship restaurant in the Queen Anne Enclosure.

Guests can expect a menu that is unmistakably Angela: seasonal, elegant and unfussy. Think roasted Scottish scallops with lemon verbena and Vesuvius tomatoes, herb-crusted Lake District lamb and, of course, her famous Amalfi lemon tart.

Speaking to Luxury London, Angela says: “We want to keep things delicious and fresh.”

Quite.

A lovely interview with one of Britain’s most respected chefs, covering everything from family food memories and Café Murano to her return to one of the biggest events in the British social calendar.

If you have a regular reservation at SKOF, time to get a little exercise in beforehand…

Tom Barnes is, as far as we know, the only chef in the world who is a member of a Real Tennis Club. Admittedly an honorary member rather than a regular player, but hes trying to find time to book a lesson!

Just a short walk from SKOF, the Manchester Tennis & Racquet Club is home to Real Tennis, the original form of the game, played centuries before modern tennis existed and famously enjoyed by Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace.

With only a handful of courts in the world, it’s one of Manchester’s most fascinating hidden gems and well worth discovering - and joining ?!

A game of Real Tennis, followed by lunch or dinner at SKOF? .. it could become a trend .. !

Reservations for SKOF can be found via the link in their bio.
