People say our founders are hands-on. James may have taken that slightly too literally.
Jokes aside, Blackeye has never been about putting three familiar names on a bottle and leaving everyone else to get on with it.
From the early days of distilling, testing, sampling and tweaking, through to tastings, match-day activations, community events and getting out there to meet the people actually drinking it, Mike, James and Alex have been involved every step of the way.
And that goes beyond the liquid. The Blackeye Rugby Fund is at the heart of what we’re building, with £1.50 from every bottle sold going back into the game through Research, Risk and Recovery.
They show up. They pour the drinks. They sign the bottles. They have the conversations.
