CFX - Cine Food Xperience

CFX - Cine Food Xperience A project using mood foods to enhance the cinematic experience. In several ways food and cinemas are similar.

Going to movies, like sitting down to eat a meal with family or friends is traditionally a shared experience which involves the elements of communication and consumption. ‘However both the cinematic and culinary domains are facing threats to their own diversity, as the multitude of different “taste” are endangered by increasing standardisation in the modern world’.

“Cine Food Experience” is a pro

ject exploring the interlinking themes of food and film through phycology. It was initiated to give awareness about the possibilities that can be achieved in better cinema food. It questions why a concept hasn’t evolved since the introduction and it throws light on the public’s need for a change and shows how this standardisation can be re-invented. Its aim is to offer suitable healthy food, providing the right nutrients that play a vital role in the production of essential brain chemicals, enhancing the joy of cinematic experience.
