During my two-day stay in Edinburgh, I was surprised to find a Vietnamese restaurant called Saigon. Being from Saigon myself, I couldn’t resist going in to try it.
At first, I felt a bit disappointed—the décor looked more Chinese than Vietnamese, and all the staff spoke Chinese. I started to worry about whether the food would be authentic.
But those worries quickly disappeared once the food arrived. The aroma from the broth was incredibly fragrant, and the taste was even better! My Bún Bò Huế was absolutely delicious, and my husband’s Phở was just as good.
The staff were very attentive, and during a short chat, we learned that the owner is Vietnamese with Chinese ancestry. Before we left, the owner even gave us a small gift—a lovely gesture that made our visit extra special.
A restaurant worth remembering and recommending to friends!
