🍷 As the nights draw in, maybe it's time for a red?

Mayacamas from Mt. Veeder: awarded 98 points from Antonio Galloni (Vinous), 97 points W**e Spectator, 96 points W**e Enthusiast.

All three critics recognised something special here. Pine forest, sweet bay leaf and savoury notes woven through dark fruit, earthy undertones and vibrant acidity. This is California Cabernet the way it should taste: balanced between power and elegance rather than just heavy.

Built for decades of cellaring but drinking beautifully now. Pair it with braised beef, mushroom risotto, aged Parmesan, or simply with good company on a cooling evening. Aging potential through 2038 and well beyond.

🍾 Taittinger Comtes de Ch*****ne Rosé Grand Cru 2011 - 94 Points from W**e Advocate

A rare, gastronomic prestige cuvée crafted entirely from Grand Cru fruit, now entering maturity with remarkable grace. The radiant pink-gold colour introduces an alluring bouquet of cherry, raspberry and black fruit layered with acacia blossom, gingerbread, mint and delicate spice.

Silky bubbles and chalky freshness shape a generous, vinous palate where ripe fruit meets savoury complexity and a long, precise finish.

Beautifully expressive now after thirteen years on lees, it will drink superbly through 2033. Serve with grilled lobster, roast poultry or creamy cheeses for an unforgettable celebration in style.

New in - Billaud-Simon Chablis 2022

The warm 2022 vintage brought breadth and ripe orchard fruit to these vineyards, yet the w**e remains firmly anchored by citrus, chalky minerality and a clean saline finish that keeps everything fresh and focused.

Burghound singled it out as Outstanding Top Value for its Chablis typicity, precision, mid-palate density and lingering dry close.

Billaud-Simon's long history in the region combined with Olivier Bailly's fresh, terroir-led approach gives this a reassuringly classical feel. Perfect with oysters, shellfish, or simply as an aperitif.

🍷 Trediberri Barolo Berri 2021 - 95-96 Points Vinous

From La Morra's elevated Berri vineyards, Trediberri has crafted something incredible. Vinous awarded it 95-96 points, describing it as "striking in its beauty; fragrant red cherry, wild strawberry and crushed raspberry meeting rose petals, star anise and cool mineral notes.

The palate is energetic yet graceful with succulent fruit, fresh acidity and finely woven tannins. Barolo that combines Nebbiolo character with remarkable accessibility.

Drink from 2026 to 2040 alongside braised beef, roasted mushrooms or aged Parmesan.

🥂 D'Hondt-Grellet Les Terres Fines Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru

This is precise grower Ch*****ne at its finest - Côte des Blancs finesse married with vinous depth. Entirely from Premier Cru Chardonnay enriched with reserve w**e from a perpetual blend begun in 1986, it unfolds in layers of crisp citrus, green apple and pear blossom followed by brioche, toasted hazelnut and a cool seam of chalk.

Delicious now for its brightness and tension, it should develop greater pastry richness through 2036. Superb alongside oysters, lobster, scallops or roast turbot.
