I’ve been so busy I forgot to post the recipe for these bad boys. I made these to take as a post- dessert treat at a lovely lunch hosted by one of our . You can buy them if course but they are super-easy to make and you can add your favourite toppings - I love pistachios and dried sour cherries with a generous backing of thick dark chocolate. If you get the chance, don’t miss the exhibition showcasing the genius of . She’s been somewhat overshadowed by big names like and but she was so leading edge in her time. The inventor of and famous for her use of bias cutting and collabs with surrealist , the gold necklace that looks like lungs, the skeleton dress and Wallace Simpson Lobster dress. Even the buttons on her designs were extraordinary especially for her Circus inspired collection. Make a day of it, lunch afterwards is always a highlight! 🦞💗👗🎪

I saw this timballo annelli Siciliana being made on a rooftop kitchen in Palermo on wonderful series. I had the book but the recipe wasn’t in it. So I watched the repeat a few times and here is my version of it. Pasta hoops in a veal ragout baked in a breadcrumb encrusted tin with layers of fried aubergine and Fontina cheese. So delicious I can’t wait to make it again! It’s a perfect family and friends dish, well worth the effort.
