THE GATE OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL Matthew 16:13–21 (YOUR NEW ADDRESS)

When you have Zoe life , the life of God in you and you receive a negative report, you don’t make that report your identity. You say, I have life in me I have Zoe life. The life of God in me is greater than what this situation is saying. The report may be negative, but it is not the final word concerning my life.

The Bible says in Corinthian 5:17,
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Think about it this way, when you move from an old house to a new house, at first, someone may ask you where you live and you might still remember the old address because you have not yet become familiar with the new one.

But after three months, six months, or one year, if someone asks, Where do you live? you will not keep giving them the old address. You have moved, You now know your new address.

The same applies to us in Christ.
If your old address was failure, stagnation, delay, disappointment, lack, and defeat, why should you keep going back there when Christ has made you a new creature?

Your address has changed

Your new address is abundance, increase, settlement, fruitfulness, restoration, victory, peace and progress.
Stop identifying with what Christ has already brought you out of.
You are a new creature.

Old things have passed away. All things have become new.

So when life presents you with an old report, remember your new address.
I have moved.
I am no longer where I used to be.
I have Zoe life in me.
I am in Christ.
My old address is behind me.
I live from the reality of what Christ has made me.

And just as you cannot keep giving an old house address after you have moved, don’t keep returning to an old identity when Christ has given you a new one.
Know your new address. Speak your new address. Live from your new address.

OUR WALK WITH GOD
Our walk with God is a walk with God. It is not sit with God.

Sometimes, you need to ask yourself this question:

Am I walking with God?
Am I on a journey with God?
As I am conversing with God, am I walking with God?
Or is my conversation with other’s making me stagnant?
Is it making me sit with God instead of walking with God?

And even the kind of conversations you have with people, the things you do with people, ask yourself.
Does it look as if I am sitting with God, or I am walking with God?

We need to be mindful of the kind of conversations we have with people and the things we engage in. Because sometimes, without realizing it, what we are doing may be causing us to sit with God instead of walk with God.

Are you still moving in the direction of God?

Are you still progressing in your walk with Him?

Are you still following where He is leading you?

People of God, please, don’t sit when God has called you to walk.

WE BUILT TO LAST: DON’T SIT, YOU ARE STILL ON ASSIGNMENT

People of God, I know we always say, The old prophet deceived him. The old prophet deceived him.”Yes, the old prophet deceived the man of God. But before the old prophet deceived him, something happened.

As the man of God was coming back from his journey, he sat down under an oak tree.
I don’t know what happened to him. Maybe he was tired. Maybe he was overwhelmed. Or maybe, for just a moment, he wanted to feel himself and think about everything that had just happened, saying, Guy, na you be the best. Guy, sit down, sit down, probably reflecting on what happened.
But while he was sitting, the old prophet was looking for him.

1 Kings 13:14.
And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

This is my point: the old prophet found him sitting.

You are a man or woman on assignment. You may get tired, but please, don’t sit.
You are human. You will be overwhelmed. There are days you will cry. There are days you will look for a shoulder to lean on. God bless you if you find that shoulder. But there may also be days when you will not find one.

If you can run.
If you cannot run, walk.
But whether you are running or walking, please, I beg of you: DON’T SIT. KEEP MOVING.

Why? Because there is an adversary who is also moving, watching and seeking.

1 Peter 5:8.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The old prophet eventually found the man of God and persuaded him to return.

1 Kings 13:18.
He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

People of God, stay focused on your assignment. Tiredness may come. Tears may come. You may feel overwhelmed. Your pace may become slower than it used to be.

But please, DON’T SIT.
If you can run.
If you cannot run, walk.
If all you can do today is take one more step, take that step.
KEEP MOVING. YOU ARE STILL ON ASSIGNMENT.

MORNING, I PRAY FOR YOU.

Every form of negativity in your life sit in the dust, Every negativity, every power of darkness, every force that has kept you down sit in the dust.

You will not meet me where you left me. You will not meet them where you left them, They have moved forward. They are advancing. They are progressing. They are moving into a new season.

The battle is over, The siege is over, The struggle is over, In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen! Amen! Amen.

Isaiah 47:1
Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans.

1 John 3:8
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

I declare over your life: you will not remain where you were left, You have moved forward, you are advancing, and you are progressing, In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

When you have divine direction, you also need divine intelligence.

There are times in your life when God gives you an instruction or shows you a particular direction concerning what He wants you to do. But receiving the direction is not the end of the matter. You also need the wisdom, understanding, discernment, and intelligence to carry that instruction through.

Sometimes, you need to pause, not because you have lost direction, but because you need to build the capacity and intelligence required for the direction God has given you.

Look at David in 1 Samuel 30. God gave David the instruction: Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. But along the way, God also provided information that helped David know how to accomplish what he had been instructed to do. David needed more than the instruction to pursue; he needed the wisdom and information to navigate the journey.

Divine direction without the wisdom to execute it can leave you unprepared for the journey.

So ask yourself: What is the intelligence I need for the instruction God has given me? What knowledge do I need to acquire? What wisdom do I need to develop? What must I learn so that I can faithfully carry this divine direction to its destination?

When God gives you direction, don’t only pray for the destination. Ask God for the wisdom, understanding, strategy, discernment, and capacity to walk the path.

The instruction tells you where to go; divine intelligence helps you know how to navigate the journey.

When we are speaking the Word of God, it is not just a quotation. It is the Word of God living inside of you.

You are not merely repeating words written in Scripture; you are speaking what God has said. His Word is in you, and when you speak it in faith, you are bringing His truth into that situation.

The Word of God is not just something you quote; it is something you carry.

Every time you are in need and you begin to declare the Word of God from Scripture, do not see that Word as just words. See it as the declaration of God concerning that situation.

When you speak the Word of God, you are bringing what God has said into that situation. You are declaring His truth, His character, His promises, and His will over what you are facing.

The Word of God is not empty. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

So when you stand on the Word, do not speak it as though you are merely quoting a verse. Speak it with faith, knowing that God is faithful to His Word.

What you are seeing may not yet look like what God has spoken, but you continue to declare His Word until what He has promised becomes evident.

The Word of God is God’s declaration over your situation. Stand on it. Speak it. Believe it.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.

Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

So you can express the thought this way,

The Word is not separate from who God is. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. What God says reveals His nature, His character, His will, and His power. When God speaks, His Word carries who He is.

Father, this morning, I thank You because You are the God of all grace.

For everyone reading this today, let Your grace speak over every area of their lives. Where there has been weakness, strengthen them. Where there has been instability, establish them. Where there has been uncertainty, settle them. Where they have been wounded by the journey, restore them.

Lord, let every season of suffering produce a testimony. Perfect what concerns them, establish their steps, strengthen their hearts, and settle them in the place You have prepared for them.
May they not give up in the middle of the process. Let them see Your hand at work, even where they cannot yet see the outcome.

This morning, we hold on to Your Word: You will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
