Today we are commemorating VE Day 80. Through our roots with the WI, Country Markets have a proud heritage of supporting the war effort. Today we celebrate and reflect on the generation that came before us to give us all we have today.

There are many stories from residents of that were here 80 years ago and it’s important we continue to listen and learn from them.

Spring is here and with Easter just around the corner I have lots of Easter and spring themed bakes for you at 40 hall farmers market today. New recipes include Bakewell blonde simnel cookies and cakes and a vanilla Easter cake that is Vegan friendly. Come and visit me today.

Delighted to tell you that there WILL be ‘Christmas at ’ as we’ve rescheduled to this Sunday December 15th. And the good news is that the forecast is currently for wintery sunshine, hoorah! ☀️
Many of our traders are able to attend and wreath making will be in the Black Barn as planned.
After such a disappointing day yesterday for all, we can’t wait to welcome you for the last market until April 2025. Come and stock up for Christmas and beyond on fantastic food and drink, enjoy a lovely warming cup of mulled wine from and fill your boots with delicious street-food.
There’s new piglet arrivals on the farm that will melt your heart too ! 🐖 💕
