My first roast of 2025 and it was a good’un! hit with some epic eats - the crispiest cod bites to start, an epic beef sirloin roast - the meat was top tier, perfectly cooked - great roasties, yorkie pud, veggies and smothered in gravy, and they even knocked us up a delightfully smooth Mac and cheese on the side. Finished up with a sticky toffee pud that was so good, I almost forgot I was in public and nearly went to lick the plate clean 🤣🤣

So I was lucky enough to have a special bday dinner at The Cut at part of the and it turned out to be one of my favourite meals of the year. Absolutely immaculate steak that more than lived up to expectations.

I will never shut up about how insanely good their bread selection was (pao de queijos, roasted garlic focaccia and salted pretzel buns). They were out of the grilled tiger prawns which absolutely would have been a bit of me, but the prawn spring rolls were insane.

Had a lovely Asian sea bass for a fish course, then a phenomenal cut of ribeye for main and tried some of the superb lamb chop and saddle as well.

Dessert was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten (and cheesecake is my bag) - this burnt basque cheesecake I can only describe as heavenly and a lovely touch was the birthday brownie cake they brought out too.

Service and ambience were absolutely first class, can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough for any fine dining steak lovers.

What happens when you put two London food blogging troublemakers together with a bunch of snacks and a ton of booze? You’re about to find out 😁 Myself and the inimitable, irrepressible, the one and only are starting a new series - trying out pairing all kinds of foods with different drinks, plus a whole load of laughter and chatting absolute breeze along the way - and we’re inviting you lot along for the ride. Pairing’s Caring (see what we did there) is kicking off with Episode 1 - Crisps and Wine - the 🐐 of all duos, currently in production with a pre Xmas release date. But as all men know, when it comes to final approval on visuals, we have absolutely no jurisdiction, so I can’t say when exactly it’ll be finished 😙 From the bloopers though, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be good fun, so make sure you’re following and so you don’t miss it!

Tis the season to eat festive burgers! It’s my first Xmas special of the year and we’ve started off strong at - with their festive chicken burger and festive loaded fries. So if you know my page, you know me and the boys get together for a nice dinner and fun activity every year over the Xmas period (for our imaginatively titled ‘Lads’ Day). Lads’ Day 2024 presented the opportunity to finally go to .restaurant - one Michelin starred and came into the top 100 restaurants in the world earlier this year. I’ll do my full review later but first, pictured we have:
