The trials of a small producer.

DPD were handling one of our deliveries. It was lost. Then marked damaged. Then destroyed.

To a multi-million pound company it is probably negligible. To a one-man sauce business it is not. It is stock. Cash flow. Time. Energy.

While I was in Australia working, my wife, the unsung hero of this whole thing, was at home trying to fulfil orders and keep everything moving. We received no real communication until after the decision had already been made.

I understand there are terms and conditions. I understand there are processes I may not have known about. That part is on me.

But before destroying an entire delivery, at least give a small business the opportunity to collect it, inspect it, or arrange return. A phone call. An email. A chance.

That is not unreasonable.
