If you love a premium Rum, this release ticks every box. It has the collector's appeal of an independent bottling, the flawless reputation of Foursquare Distillery with elegant flavour profile that makes it a perfect sip.

Foursquare is famous among enthusiasts for producing some of the absolute best Rum in the world. They strictly adhere to a no-added-sugar, no-additives philosophy.

Bottled at 47% ABV, this Barbados 2011 sits perfectly in the "sweet spot" for Rum. It carries a massive amount of flavour and complexity without being overly harsh or fiery. It's incredibly drinkable neat, over ice or with just a tiny splash of water to open up the aromas.

The world of fine spirits and historical craftsmanship converge in this release from Bristol Classic Rum - Port Mourant 1990, finished elegantly in Port casks.

Distilled in the heart of Guyana using the legendary, centuries-old double wooden Pot Still, this remarkable Rum carries a heritage that simply cannot be replicated by modern means.

Decades of patient ageing has offered a profound depth, then enhanced by 2nd maturation in rich Port casks. The result is a rare and sophisticated journey, where the robust, signature profile of classic Demerara Rum meets the sweetness of dark orchard fruits, subtle spice and a beautifully long, elegant finish.
This bottling represents far more than an exquisite liquid. It is an invitation to experience a dwindling piece of drinking history.

Elegant, respectful, and perfectly paced.

This time last week, we were anticipating a spectacular evening with John and the team from the Real Rum Experience.

The Rhum Tavern in London proved the perfect backdrop for a master class in spirits. We tasted six exceptional expressions from Bristol Classic Rum, completely captivated by John’s journey - from his early days with Cognac to his enduring passion for rum. While the Caribbean is always a favourite, John’s affection for the rums of the Indian Ocean region was a fascinating highlight.

From the nuances of the Port Mourant still to a first taste of the latest New Yarmouth release, every pour was premium liquid history. As always, the evening flew by too quickly.

John Barrett - grandfather of Rum and one of Europe’s finest independent bottlers.

Imagine yourself settled into a comfortable armchair as the evening quiet rolls in, ready to unwind with something truly exceptional. Today, we are absolutely delighted to highlight a remarkable addition to our collection - Mauritius Labourdonnais 2010 Cognac Finish from the esteemed cellars of Bristol Classic Rum.

This magnificent cask release captures the very best of both worlds. Distilled in Mauritius back in 2010, it spent the final chapter of its maturation ageing gracefully in traditional French Oak Cognac casks. The result is an incredibly elegant spirit that balances the vibrant, sunny character of Mauritian sugar cane juice with the refined depth you would expect from a classic Cognac. On the palate, it reveals a tapestry of warm spices, gentle vanilla and rich, dried fruits, culminating in a wonderfully long and sophisticated finish.

Whether you are a lifelong Rum connoisseur or simply looking to treat yourself to a satisfying tot, this release is an absolute joy to experience.

Bottles are now available on shelves and online, visit our website to secure a taste of this island treasure for your own cabinet. Cheers, everyone.

One of Bristol Classic Rum’s top-selling releases is this superb Jamaican pot still Rum from Clarendon Distillers Limited (CDL), also known as Monymusk. Clarendon is situated within the historic Monymusk Estate, an ancient sugarcane plantation in Jamaica.

Arriving into the UK during 2019, this small batch has spent its life in refilled American Oak casks and only 1,000 bottles were released at 47% vol/abv. The marque is EMB and has an ester count of 240-250gr/hL AA. No filtering, colouring or sugar... just pure Rum with a medium golden colour.

The nose is rich with fruit, but it is the wood that dominates. The palate is similar, with some length and a more integrated finish with underlying fruit showing well. This is refined Rum that wonderfully represents the more balanced style of Clarendon.

Bristol Classic Rum Jamaica 2011 is ideal for an introduction to the Rum community.

If you have a deep passion for Rum, it is essential to explore this remarkable Nicaragua 2004 released by Bristol Classic Rum.

Nicaragua has one major facility for Rum distillation - Compania Licorera de Nicaragua, San Antonio (CLNSA) which has been a leader in producing neutral spirits, aged alcohol, branded Rum and bulk Rum for over a century.

A full golden colour has been gained from 18 years maturation in American Oak casks. There is lovely soft fruit with candy and violets on the nose which leads to a soft and long palate offering up tropical fruits, violet and sandalwood.

These casks arrived into the UK during 2013 and were bottled in Scotland at 47% vol/abv. There is no added sugar and this Rum is free from chill-filtration.

Cheers to the journey from South America to your glass!

When you think of Rum, do you envisage of heavy, syrupy sweetness? It’s time to meet a bottle that challenges the status quo.

Meet the Panama 2010—a beautiful masterclass in balance, transparency, and pure craftsmanship. Curated by the legendary John Barrett, this expression completely bypasses the heavy additives and sugars found in mass-market Rum, letting the true spirit shine through.

What makes it so special is a fascinating tale of two climates. Distilled from molasses in a Column Still, it spent its first nine years maturing in the intense Panama heat before being brought over to cool, damp UK cellars for a final three years of gentle ageing. This unique twelve-year dual-maturation, bottled at a refined 47% ABV, delivers a gorgeous natural mid-golden colour and a complex profile that sips well with a lump of ice.

Bright, fruity nose characterised by lemon zest, white peach and green apple, which beautifully opens up to reveal soft oak and a delicate floral quality. On the palate, it is crisp and tangy, featuring a perfectly integrated mix of elegant wood, warm spice and ripe tropical fruits like mango and guava.

Whether you're a lifelong rum enthusiast or a spirits lover looking for something genuinely authentic, the Panama 2010 offers a refreshing new perspective on what rum can be.
