A few months ago we turned Harts Barn Cookery School into a film location to film Bake it Hot.
A catchy number filmed with some wonderful people. Starring the gwargeous and very talented Latina Ballroom and the equally talented Janasz, from The Great British Bake Off, who baked and decorated the star of the show… The Cake.

As well as the filming location, I also was a film extra with a few other wonderful people too… can you spot the mosaic queen Rachel Louise?

All the money raised will be given to the We Are Q***r Well charity.

Hospitality businesses all over the UK are struggling, mine included.
20% of anything we make goes straight into the governments coffers, and with rising food costs (over 30% of income goes on ingredients), fuel and staff costs, it’s never been tougher.
We are a small business delivering good work, education, supporting local suppliers, providing work for young people, doing everything possible to adhere to piles of regulations.
But 1/5th of every £1 earned goes to the government and for what 🤷🏻‍♀️?
The rest of Europe pays on average 10% VAT…

After the success and heat of Sunday Forest Showcase Food Festival we have been back to it with half term cookery activities (and all week too) and food delivery to Rachel Louise at the mosaic studio in Lydney.

We, and the kids, love the pasta salad bar we provide…. Making healthy choices.. and coming up for seconds too

funding provided through the as part of the Holiday Activity Food Program.

But twas hot hot hot 🔥 hot 🥵

Kids Cookery classes:
Using knife skills we will chop up ingredients and make delicious Vietnamese Spring Rolls and making some Chive Flower burgers.

Wear your sun hat 👒 sunglasses 😎 and bring your sun cream… it’s a glorious day ☀️

COOKING TOGETHER
Cook together and make a simple but delicious two-course meal. The meal will be easily to replicate at home and you will have a recipe to take home. Once made, you will sit eat and enjoy what you have made together. Any leftovers can be taken home. Tea/coffee or soft drinks & aprons will be provided. This booking is for one adult with a child or young person. If you have more than one child then please let us know and we will set up the spaces to accommodate you all cooking together.
Dates: Monday 25th 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Tuesday 26th 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
KIDS COOKERY
Cook together and make a selection of well-known street food such as Gyozas, spring rolls and others exploring international flavours and food from other countries. Once made, you will sit eat and enjoy what you have made together. Any leftovers can be taken home. You will take what you make home with you. Tea/coffee or soft drinks & aprons will be provided. We will also provide healthy snacks and fruit during the session
Dates: Thursday 28th 10am to 1pm Friday 29th 10am to 1pm
KIDS COOKERY
