This weekend I got sent a photo of someone else’s work, the customer wasn’t happy with the end product and wasn’t like anything they had asked for and asked if I would recover the cake.
This is not something I would normally do, as I knew the person, I offered to help. Upon taking the cake home, all the icing had run. The buttercream was so thick and gulping, sweet in taste, it was far too heavy for the cake.
I couldn’t believe what they were being charged for the cake as the quality of the products used weren’t good.
I offered to make the cake again as I wasn’t happy in covering someone else’s work, charging them for it for maybe not to even eat it.
If a get a request I know I can’t fulfil, I’m always honest with my customers and say I can’t do it.
Final photo my cake turned around in half a day.
I was just glad to help out the customer and that they were happy and got a cake in the end.
