Due to continued growth at Paterson’s Fruit & Vegetables, we’re still looking for a few more people to join our team.

We currently have the following positions available:

🚐 Van Drivers × 2 - 5am starts (6 days, Mon - Sat)
🌙 Night Shift Staff × 1 - 1:30am start (4 days a week)
💻 Admin / Office Staff × 1 - 10am starts (5 days a week)

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people who are keen to become part of a busy, growing local business.

We are going to our first ever show tomorrow at Drumlangrig Castle. This will be our first ever stand that we have done before!

We will have the following for sale on Saturday and Sunday.

🚚 WE’RE HIRING – JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM 🌱

Due to continued growth and expansion into new delivery areas, we’re looking to add reliable, hardworking people to our night team in the following roles:

🌙 Night Shift Picking Staff - multiple roles

* Shifts: 4 nights per week
* Friday night into Saturday morning required (one of our busiest shifts)

Shift times available:

* 10pm to 5am - This shift consists of solely making up orders for wholesale customers. We work on an iPad system where full training will be given.

* 2am to finish (roughly 9/10am) This shift consists of making up orders and stock rotating deliveries.

A keen eye for detail is essential, as quality checking products is a key part of these roles. We’re looking for people who take pride in accuracy and high standards.

📍 Location: CA6 5TJ

We’re happy to negotiate hours and work around people where possible.

⭐️ We still have the following vacancies available ⭐️

We have 2 office based and 1 warehouse based positions available.

⭐️ Warehouse Operative
This is a permanent position.
4 nights a week - 10pm to 5am
(Sunday,Monday,Thursday and Friday)

This position requires an eye for detail. We take pride in what we sell and quality control is the most important part of the job. It does require some heavy lifting which is 25kg bags of potatoes.

⭐️ Office Administrator
This is a permanent position,
2 evenings a week (Sunday & Monday), 7pm to 10.30pm

⭐️ Book Keeping, Accounts & Office Administrator ⭐️
This is a permanent role
5 days a week consisting of
3 hours a day 12pm to 3pm.

These are very important and varied roles and will consist of answering calls from customers, creating sales invoices, general office Administration, Book keeping & Accounts duties.

Sage experience would be a bonus but not essential as training will be provided. You must have excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner.

A good understanding of fresh produce would help when communicating with chefs.
You must be able to work as part of a team but also use their own initiative to prioritise workload.

🌱🚜 Exciting News from Paterson’s Fruit & Vegetables! 🚜🌱

Today I had the pleasure of spending time with Jim, Kim and Tom, three fantastic local growers who will soon be supplying us with fresh produce straight from their farm.

What makes this even more exciting is that they grow to organic standards, and as production increases, they’ll soon be supplying us with enough produce on a daily basis to make a real difference to what we offer our customers.

🥕🥬 Imagine receiving fruit and vegetables that are often less than 12–24 hours from harvest! It doesn’t get much fresher than that.

As a Locally-based business, we’re incredibly proud to be working with growers right on our doorstep. Not only does this mean fresher produce, but it also helps us dramatically reduce food miles, support local agriculture, and keep more of our spending within our local community.

There’s something special about knowing exactly where your food comes from and being able to shake the hands of the people who grow it.

We’re genuinely excited about this partnership and can’t wait to start bringing this amazing local produce to our customers over the coming months.
