Due to the extreme heat, we will not be sending any orders out for delivery this week.

The website will still be open for orders, but your order held back until next week when the cooler temperatures return.

Please call the shop if you wish to collect an order from either our Looe or Tavistock Fishmongers.

Open on the quayside in East Looe from Noon until 5pm every day, the Lobster Shack is our alfresco restaurant serving delicious seafood & shellfish.

One of our inshore fleet returning to port earlier this week.

We are so fortunate to be based in a working fishing port, where are local fisherman are still at the very heart of all we do.

Our fleet may be smaller these days than we’ve all seen down the years, but we are very appreciative of what they do and the prime fish & shellfish they land.

Join us al fresco at the Lobster Shack today, for a long-lazy harbour-side lunch in the sunshine.

It’s Tuesday and our Tavistock Fishmongers is open today from 9am until 2pm; and then again from Wednesday to Saturday 9am - 3pm.

The finest & freshest fish, seafood & shellfish is brought up from the quayside in Looe to stock the counter. We also stock a range of ready to eat seafood, fish & crab pâtés & smoked salmon, kippers & haddock.

Located on Duke Street, just steps from the famous Panier Market, we hope to welcome you to our Tavistock Fishmongers soon.

We love where we work!

Our harbour location in East Looe has been home to Pengelly's since 1946.... that makes us 80 years old in 2026.

Our Fishmongers & Lobster Shack are right next to Looe Harbour Office and just feet from where much of our fish is landed by our day boats.

2 mins walk and you'll find our Sandwich Bar and a minute further, High Tide Looe, our new Seafood & Wine Bar.

As for our fishmongers in Tavistock - well, you will have to take your passports ready to be stamped as you pop over the border to Devon! It's a lovely market town and well worth a visit for the day.

Open daily from Noon - 5pm, our Lobster Shack is located right alongside our Fishmongers on Buller Quay in East Looe.
