Great milk starts with happy cows🐄

Last week, we joined Crediton Milling Company and our farmers for a fascinating day focused on understanding cow behaviour.

We explored their natural instincts, how they respond to different situations, and the reasons behind their actions.

It was a valuable reminder that one of the most effective ways to work with cows is to understand them - better understanding leads to better welfare, and happier cows.

What a stunning evening it was yesterday heading out on one of the Agri Programme farm visits 🚜

We visited one of our dairy farm suppliers and heard about the regenerative farming methods they’ve been exploring, including planting herbal lays to help with grass growth, establish deep roots, and protect the soil 🌾

With over 80 members travelling from across the county for the event it was a fantastic turn out. We are so proud to be supporting the 2026 programme which continues to offer farm walks and events that gives the opportunity to gain farming industry knowledge and build confidence for future careers in agriculture 🐄
