The Samhain Ritual Box 🌙

A seasonal ritual for release, remembrance and renewal.

This year, Samhain falls during the Waning Moon, a rare and powerful alignment.

Both Samhain and the Waning Moon invite us to let go of what no longer serves us, honour what has come before, and prepare the ground for what is yet to come 🌑

What is inside:

Waning Moon Tea: A cleansing herbal blend made with liquorice root, ashwagandha, fennel, and dandelion root to support release and reflection.

Honour Aura Spray: A space-cleansing mist created in collaboration with In Lumine Lunae, blended with juniper, rosemary (for remembrance), and clary sage.

Honour Bath Oil: A purification botanical blend crafted with hyssop, bergamot, and Roman chamomile to help wash away the old year and prepare for renewal.

Philosophical Reflection: An original written piece by philosopher Dr. Robert Rowland Smith exploring the meaning of Samhain, ancestors, and life transitions.

I arrived at the fairy festival with my Selenodynamic® moon teas and our Simple Truths cards, excited to share two things that are still very new and unfamiliar to a lot of people.

And the first day didn’t go quite as I’d imagined.

I’d created my stall, brought everything I’d planned, and waited.

But when you’re bringing something new into the world, sometimes people don’t immediately know what it is, or how to approach it.

I panicked a little.

Then, with some wonderful advice from the mother of the stallholder next to me, I changed everything around.

Instead of trying to explain what I had brought, I thought:

What can I actually offer people here?

So I wrote a board:

Think of a relationship that isn’t going as well as you’d like…

See it differently.

I’d barely finished propping it up when somebody came over and asked for a reading.

Then another.

And another.

For the rest of the festival there was this beautiful flow of people sitting down with me, drawing Simple Truths cards and using them as prompts to talk about relationships, patterns and situations that felt tangled.

For fifteen minutes, we simply made space to see something differently.

And somewhere in all those conversations, I realised that this might be the thread running through so much of the work I’m being drawn towards.

The moon teaches us to see change differently.

My teas invite us to notice the smaller cycles of waxing, fullness, waning and renewal, perhaps helping us become a little more comfortable with the much bigger cycles of our own lives.

The work I’ve been doing with forgotten wells asks us to look at something we might walk past every day and see it differently: not as an old pump, a hole in the ground or a relic, but as a source of water, history and relationship with place.

And Simple Truths asks us to look at the relationships in our lives from another position.

Maybe that’s the thread.

To notice what we’ve stopped noticing.
To remember what we’ve forgotten.
And to help people see things differently.

I went to the festival thinking I was there to share tea.

I came home with a much bigger sense of what I might actually be here to
