What a cracking day at Burwaton Show today, part of the Slow Food Ludlow Marches run of ten most amazing producers.

Thanks to all that came and shared our love of our most delicious apple juice made in Ludlow.

We'll be back to pressing early varieties as early as next week, which is at least a week earlier than usual this year.

Apple trees are stressed and are dropping their fruit, this year is going to be a challenge.

Blimey well that's a wrap, Small Plates is all over for another year! Another bumper weekend, tar to all those that love our food and atmosphere.

We'll be back in March next year, in the meantime lots going on here there and everywhere! Oh yes and apple pressing due to start next month ... 🍎 🍏 ❤️

No Small Plates this weekend as we're busy with the Slow Food Ludlow Marches Summer Fiesta at the marvellous Bridges Pub in Ratlinghope.

Very much looking forward to the evening's Slow Food Feast, where I'll be a diner and not in the kitchen!

Here's a few snaps of deliciousness from last weekend's service, the mangetout with blood orange tahini was a winner and as for the meatballs, there's no better.

We're now fully booked for next weekend, but we do have some availability for our very last weekend of 2026, which is the 10th and 11th July.

Back in the kitchen today prepping for Small Plates at Appleteme this weekend. We're championing the arrival of summer vegetables with fresh fennel and wet garlic from Tuston Market garden and agretti and mange tout from Roz Cox and her new venture Seren Garden.

Gooseberries a go-go! Today we'll be mainly dealing with our bumper gooseberry crop.

Apple & Gooseberry juice will be available this weekend at MADE IN SHROPSHIRE Dudmaston Estate NT on Sunday.

Our Small Plates will be flying out the kitchen this weekend. Apologies but we're completely booked both nights for diners. However we can have walk-ins for drinks and snacks between 5 and 6pm on Saturday. ☀️

The good news is that we're back the following weekend with Small Plate availability, hurrah!

We're taking a walk on the wild side this weekend. So much looking forward to trading at the British Wild Food Festival

Our inner wild curiosity hopefully fulfilled and enlightened all at the same time!

Phew, two days of intense Rhubarb Ketchup production completed. Always made in season with fresh local rhubarb.

'Possibly the second best sauce in the world.'

We had a blast at the Spring Ludlow Food Festival last weekend, thanks to all those that enjoyed our cocktails and mocktails 😁

Back in the kitchen this Friday and Saturday with Small Plates, pintxos snacks on Saturday from 5pm, bookings for Small Plates from 6pm.

And I'll catch up with my regulars at the Local to Ludlow Producers' Market tomorrow, 9-2pm.
