We’ve got duck eggs back in the honesty box at Hill Croft!

If you’ve never baked with duck eggs before, you’re missing a trick. They’re a bit richer than chicken eggs, which makes cakes lighter, sponges fluffier and pastries beautifully golden. They’re especially good in things like brownies, victoria sponge and homemade pasta where that extra richness really comes through.

We’ve had a few regulars tell us they won’t go back to chicken eggs for baking now… high praise indeed!

As always, they’re fresh from our ducks so just pop by the box. Thank you so much for the continued support, it honestly means a lot 💛

It's spring! Which means we have duck eggs available again in the honesty box along with our usual chicken eggs 🥚

Duck eggs £2 for 6
Chicken eggs £1.50 for 6

We're also thinking about offering eggs in trays (30) for £8.50 🤔 let us know if thats something you would be interested in 🙂

Just a quick note to say that our honesty box was completely destroyed last night. If you’d like eggs, please just pop up to the caravan instead and we’ll sort you out.

Our young hens have started laying their very first pullet eggs – small but mighty, and absolutely delicious! These little gems are perfect for frying, baking, or just boiling up for a quick snack.

They’re only around for a short while as the girls grow into full-sized layers, so it’s a special treat while they last.
