We've had the most amazing guests joining us at Duckling Barn from senior meteorologists, Bollywood greenscapers (film set landscapers), renewable energy designers, brewers, film costume designers, national park managers, intensive care nurses, water catchment specialists, to entrepreneurs and the most amazing kids.

All have come for a little rest. reset and regroup and I think this review says it all

"Absolutely loved our stay here a fantastic location. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away to the countryside for a few days. Highlight of the trip was morning coffees with the donkeys. Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful 10/10 would love to stay again."

We're delighted to be joining Food 4 Growth Torfaen on the Torfaen Food Trail this August. We're making chutney this Friday and matching it with a cheese tasting from Usk Valley Cheese Company, spaces are full (apologies) and we can't wait!!!! Cheese Please!!!!!
We're also looking forward to Strawberry Jam demoing and tasting at Ty Poeth Farm on the 14th August, more details to follow ###x

Just love hearing from people using our recipe book. The marvellous Julia Powell adapted our Limey Lime Marmalade recipe to make lemon marmalade, using lemons from a friends garden in Murcia and it looks soooooo good!!!! I’m so hoping there may be a teeny tiny jar left that I can sneak.

Our recipe book is available on our website with lots of recipes to create your own jars and all are easily adaptable to the fruit and veg that you have ###x

Another 5 Star review for our wild glamping at Duckling Barn, you really don't need to take our word for how lovely they are.......

"We stayed for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it was amazing. The bell tent was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We loved fussing the donkeys and ponies, as well as the two beautiful dogs. The camp grounds were also beautiful, with the rolling hills and greenery. Angharad and her husband went above and beyond and were so kind to us. The breakfast package is a must have as all the produce was fresh and tasty. We’re very grateful to have been able to stay the weekend and will definitely be back."

Such a lovely day with the chilli addicts making our infamous Candied Jalapeños, a fresh a high and a Salsa Falsa loosely based on a Hang Fire® recipe I had the pleasure of tasting the other day, using courgettes instead of avocado 🥑……truly delicious.

So much joy to join the book launch for a truly brilliant friend Michael Pugh and his incredible book about a brilliantly adventurous ride. The journey, the adventure, all in a book that he shared with a room packed with friends and family and my heart is full!!! I went to school with Michael, and he was bludi great, with possibly more hair!!!! In more recent years he’s been a true friend, reaching out when I didn’t even know I needed support, and he does that to everyone, all of the time. And in that room last night were brilliant friends, family friends and parents of friends. I left with books and a heart full of the love of lifelong belonging and kindness. Thank you Michael. And how bludi good to see you Nathan Cornish Nick Crane ### And do buy the book, although I feel we should campaign for the audio book as his story telling is v v good!!!!
